Tsukioka Onsen Masyuu

At first I thought it was an old-fashioned Japanese hot spring hotel when I looked at the photos on the trip, but when I arrived on site I found it was new, just with a retro decoration. The dinner was very delicious and blended with local characteristics.

No children allowed so quiet. The Japanese-style room has twin beds, so it is friendly to the elderly, and the room is spacious, so you can relax. There is also a sofa. The emerald green hot water with the smell of sulfur is truly a famous hot spring. You don't have to bring towels from your room, so it's easy. The edge of the open-air bath is made of wood, so it feels good to put your arm on it. Meals are served in private rooms, where a QR code is read to order a drink or call a waiter, but this is a high hurdle for the elderly. The sashimi from Sado Island is also delicious, and the menu is rich in variety and eye-catching. Niigata's famous ppe soup is also delicious. The breakfast was beautifully arranged in a basket, and the grilled salmon, and above all, the Koshihikari rice, was delicious. The scenery from the inn should not be expected. Tsukioka Onsen itself is not a scenic place. It was cheaper than a certain famous inn, and I was satisfied. The chopsticks are cute and I bought them as souvenirs. As it is close to Niigata, it is a hot spring resort that is easily accessible from Tokyo. This time, I used the humming tour that connects Niigata Station and Tsukioka Onsen. They will take you on a bonnet bus for 1500 yen per person one way. Moreover, there are also tours of several properties along the way. Let's go to Tsukioka Onsen with this tour (reservation by 17:00 the day before).

I stayed with my family of four during the Obon holidays. The interior has been renewed so much that you can't imagine it from the exterior, and everything is beautiful. The rooms are spacious and clean, the emerald green sulfur springs are perfect, the food is adequate and not bad, but it feels rough... As much as the hardware is good, the staff at the front desk and restaurant are soft. It was a pity that the face did not catch up.

When I saw the exterior from the car, I was worried that the building was a little old, but I was very satisfied with the interior, which has a high room with no ceiling and is barrier-free. The room was spacious with comfortable furniture, and the bed was comfortable and I slept well until the morning. The hot spring also has a strong sulfur smell, and it feels like it came to the audio. It was comfortable because I didn't have to bring towels from my room. Meals were in the same room for breakfast and dinner in a large private room. I was very satisfied with the amount I couldn't eat. I want to come and stay next time! It is a hotel that makes you think. Recommended.

Probably stayed for the purpose of enjoying the emerald green bath that is characteristic of Tsukioka Onsen. Perhaps because of the strong sulfur springs, there was only an open-air bath, but compared to the number of guest rooms, it was spacious enough to enjoy a relaxing time in the hot springs. The good thing about this ryokan is the attentive service, including the small details. The basket for going back and forth between the hot spring and the room has a room number tag and slippers identification clip with the room number written on it. Amenities set in bags make it easy to prepare, and in addition to towels, there are mask cases in front of the hot springs, tabi socks in the slippers storage area, and free drinks in the lobby after the bath. It was very comfortable to have what I needed in the place I wanted it to be. The room was a comfortable Japanese-style twin room, and the tatami area was equipped with moderately high chairs instead of legless chairs. For dinner, if you make an early reservation, you will be given priority to secure a private room. I was allowed to use it. The cuisine is gorgeously Japanese with Western elements and has a wide variety of textures and flavors. I was satisfied with the number of items. The mechanism to order drinks using the QR code was also convenient. The only thing I would like to see improved is a small detail, but I would have liked to see the cold sake bottle installed so that even a mini bottle could be chilled with ice like a ryokan. I get excited when I see beautifully arranged sake bottles in various inns and restaurants. Breakfast is a self-serve set meal with drinks only. I think it was good that it was healthy and had a lot of volume.

Stayed with two friends. It was the most reasonable room, but it was comfortable with enough space. There is no indoor bath in the room, but there is a shower. There are 2 types of stalls and 1 indoor bath in the large public bath. The quality of the spring is, of course, spacious and wonderful. However, I saw an old man slipping on the floor and almost falling because of the quality of the spring water, so I think it would be good to have a handrail on the passage from the indoor bath to the open-air bath. I chose the meat main for dinner, but the amount was just right and it was delicious. I was surprised that the steak was bigger than I imagined. I thought it was about 3 slices. It was sirloin, but it would be nice if you could choose the fillet as the amount could be halved. There were alcohol sprays and alcohol wet wipes in various places, and the infection control was wonderful. The mask case was especially convenient. There is no fault in customer service. It is an inn that I want to repeat.

Since the mechanism as an inn is idle, I will write a little about it. I met a tattooed person at a hot spring. I don't think I would have stayed at an inn that allowed tattoos. It's a pity that I couldn't soak in the hot springs slowly. Also, although smartphones are used for payment and ordering, I was a little disappointed that drink orders were smartphone compatible and there was little communication with the capacity. I ordered it as a substitute for miso soup, but it didn't come until the end. At breakfast, the yogurt sauce was not placed on the seat table, but was placed in the drink corner, and I found it on the way home. Also, I paid with my smartphone, but when I went to return the key, I was a little surprised at the attitude of the inn when they said "Yes, that's fine" without showing the receipt. I think there are many improvements to be made. I'm sure they are reducing labor costs by supporting smartphones for the inn, but I think they are missing what customers are looking for. Seek service and stay at a hot spring inn. Please improve for the next guest.
