Tsukioka Onsen Masyuu

Shibata|7.8km from city centre
Probably stayed for the purpose of enjoying the emerald green bath that is characteristic of Tsukioka Onsen. Perhaps because of the strong sulfur springs, there was only an open-air bath, but compared to the number of guest rooms, it was spacious enough to enjoy a relaxing time in the hot springs. The good thing about this ryokan is the attentive service, including the small details. The basket for going back and forth between the hot spring and the room has a room number tag and slippers identification clip with the room number written on it. Amenities set in bags make it easy to prepare, and in addition to towels, there are mask cases in front of the hot springs, tabi socks in the slippers storage area, and free drinks in the lobby after the bath. It was very comfortable to have what I needed in the place I wanted it to be. The room was a comfortable Japanese-style twin room, and the tatami area was equipped with moderately high chairs instead of legless chairs. For dinner, if you make an early reservation, you will be given priority to secure a private room. I was allowed to use it. The cuisine is gorgeously Japanese with Western elements and has a wide variety of textures and flavors. I was satisfied with the number of items. The mechanism to order drinks using the QR code was also convenient. The only thing I would like to see improved is a small detail, but I would have liked to see the cold sake bottle installed so that even a mini bottle could be chilled with ice like a ryokan. I get excited when I see beautifully arranged sake bottles in various inns and restaurants. Breakfast is a self-serve set meal with drinks only. I think it was good that it was healthy and had a lot of volume.

I stayed during the snow damage. The bathrooms are switched in the evening and in the morning. In the evening, the bathhouse ”Hanakyo” on the 2nd floor of the East Building is for men, and the bathhouse ”Gekkyou” on the 1st floor is for women, and vice versa in the morning. Only the open-air bath has its own hot spring, and it is not as wide as it looks in the publicity photo. Also, there is no shaving cream, so prepare yourself. Amenities are available next to the elevator on the guest room floor, and towels are available in each room and bathroom. After taking a bath in the evening, self-service ice cream 🍨 will be prepared for the first 50 people. Around the dinner time, they even serve Dokudami tea and Pu-erh tea. The room is large enough for 3 people to relax, and I would appreciate a legless chair. For dinner, there is a venue on the 1st floor of the West Building, and you can choose between 18:00 and 18:30. Murakami beef and Shibata beef comparison sets, grilled Nodoguro, Western-style chawanmushi, etc., are attacking quality rather than quantity, so I refused rice and barely ate it all in my stomach. Breakfast is a buffet at ”Dynasty” on the 2nd floor of the West Building, and Yasuda yogurt is also served. As a souvenir, I recommend the ”Senkei Manju” moon cake with the Senkei logo as a motif, but I wouldn't recommend it. Before checking in and when checking out, you can rest in the lounge on the 1st floor of the West Building. Only hot drinks are served before check-in, and before and after check-out hot drinks, frozen yogurt and cold drinks from Yasuda Yogurt are served. The parking lot 🅿️ is opposite the entrance, and the bus stop is near the entrance of the entrance. In addition, since the end of October, we have started a tie-up with ”Onsen Musume 🧖‍♀️”, and collaboration products are also sold at the shop, as well as a guidebook for ”Onsen Musume♨️” and local hot spring daughter ”Tsukioka Rui”. is waiting for you on a life-size panel.

When I was traveling to Niigata, I visited Shinran brothers and sisters. I decided that this hotel was very good for my parents to disturb me a long time ago. This time, I stayed with half board per night (30,000 yen / person: 3 people). Overall it was a recommended hotel. < Good points > The lobby was very spacious 々 and had a very impact. The room with an open-air bath that was renewed in April 2022 was very fashionable and beautiful. And from the window of the salon space, I was able to enjoy the view of the vast garden. Also, the open-air bath was good. The windows were cleaned cleanly (Kagaya was terrible). In the lobby, I was able to drink coffee, tea sweets and even alcohol for free at night. The bath is large, and there are 4 types of open-air hot spring baths, so I was able to enjoy the hot springs. The dressing room had bath towels, face towels and shavings, which was convenient. The cherry blossom dinner was delicious with a lot of items and all of them were handmade dishes. I had a salt-grilled nodocro, but I personally like sashimi that can taste a trot. The breakfast venue was beautiful, and the walls were projected with trees and other objects. (However, the video sense was one step now.) The breakfast buffet had a large number of items. It was interesting to have a corner where you can make waffles and pizza yourself. < Disappointing points > It was a pity that the tatami mats in the dinner room were quite dirty. At the time of the cherry blossom dinner, the beef for shabu-shabu was served from the beginning. When I thought I would eat it immediately, it was more than an hour later and the pot was on fire. For this reason, the meat was a little dry.

The hot spring water quality is very good. Although the room is old and full of Japanese style, there is very little food on the hot spring street. It is best to choose one berth and two foods.

The location is relatively remote! In the alley! But parking at the door is very convenient! The room is also very big! The bathroom equipment needs to be strengthened! Handrails to be installed! Like I am a physically handicapped person, it is more dangerous... The washbasin cracks, it should be changed to avoid injury to innocent... The breakfast is great! The bread is freshly baked! There is also a red song fried fish! This is my trip to Japan! First time to eat! Very delicious!

I have visited the ryokan several times, but this was my first visit since my family expanded. In conclusion, I was very satisfied. You can spend a comfortable and safe time with your baby. There are spaces in the bathroom and dining area where you can put your baby to sleep, so you can feel at ease even in your debut match with a baby. The ryokan is more than the price for the people, the hot springs, the food, the rooms. Since it was a family trip, the main purpose was to relax and unwind after a long day, but it was a relaxing 3 days in a warm atmosphere.
