The best hotel in Lake Monbetsu, bar none, built on the lake, with the entire lake view outside the window. In winter, the ice village and the entire lake are literally outside the window You must go to the outdoor pool on the second floor to soak, the beautiful view will make you unforgettable. (The open-air view for ladies is much better than that for men 😄) The food is also OK

The hotel is located right next to the ice bar, where you can play snowmobiles, kayaks, make your own ice cups, soak in hot springs on the ice lake and other activities In addition, I have to say that the staff are really friendly. I participated in dog sledding nearby. If I had to take the bus, I would have arrived two hours earlier. I wanted to call a taxi, but the hotel staff said that it is not easy to do so here. We had a taxi, so we arranged for the hotel's vehicle to drive us there. We were very touched.

All facilities in the hotel are dilapidated and lackluster. I would not recommend it, let alone stay here again. I booked a Japanese-style room with a tatami bed. Normally I would expect the staff to help me make my bed, but this hotel requires guests to make their own beds, and the staff will not help! There is no free bottled water in the room, and there is only one plug-in point in the living room, which is extremely insufficient for customers. The taste of breakfast food was below the standard, and the dinner food was rich in variety but average in taste! The hot spring bath is small and the water doesn't seem to be changed every day!

At ~A$325 for an overnight Dinner, Bed and Breakfast stop it delivered only to an average standard. The food for both dinner and breakfast was okay, but nothing special. The third floor room did have a nice view though, and the Onsen was good with again nice views over the lake. The room was a traditional Japanese style with plenty of room for up to 4 people. The bathroom was basic.

A completely normal hot spring inn. What's unusual is that it's the only one in the area. It's especially difficult to move around in the winter, so the front desk seems to be working hard. The moment you open the door to the room is a treat. The room itself is a Showa-era room, and I was put off by the lack of electrical outlets in particular. I've been to hot springs for day trips, and they're pretty good. The open-air bath is a little small, I think. As for the food, it's just normal, isn't it?

I stayed here on a tour. I had stopped by Lake Shikaribetsu before, but this was my first time staying there. There used to be another hotel open, but now there is only one. There is only a visitor center and no shops around. It may be better to prepare drinks beforehand. There is a shop, but drinks were reasonably priced, so I think it's fine to buy them here. The rooms are Japanese-style and I think all of them have a lake view. The hotel is located on the lakeside, so the view from the room is amazing. The view of Lake Shikaribetsu in front of you is like a lake in the mountains of the European Alps. The food was not luxurious, but there were dishes made with ingredients typical of Hokkaido, such as Dolly Varden trout. Foreign trainees served us, and they were all very kind. The restaurant's drinks were cheap, so we drank Hokkaido shochu bottles during the meal and drank the leftovers in the room. The restaurant provided us with ice pitchers and ice. The hotel's name is Feng Shui, and there are ceramic murals and art with a Feng Shui theme hanging in the rooms, which makes it fun to interpret the works. The hot springs were also old, and the Sugayu hot springs were quite good. From the open-air bath, you can see the beautiful sunrise and Lake Shikaribetsu.

All the employees have good expressions, and I could see their smiles even when they were wearing masks. They are very responsive. The meal was served in the room, but it was very delicious and full. The bath is a little small, but I took it slowly at just the right temperature. I had a relaxing time after a long time.
