Vivanta Meghalaya Shillong

had a wonderful stay at Vivanta Meghalaya, Shillong, and it exceeded my expectations in many ways. The hotel’s location is one of its biggest strengths. Situated right in the heart of Shillong, it is within walking distance of shopping streets, local markets, salons, cafés, small malls, and spas. Everything I needed was conveniently nearby, making it an excellent base for exploring the city. The buffet breakfast was exceptional, with a wide variety of delicious dishes that catered to different tastes. It was one of the highlights of my stay, and I looked forward to it every morning. What truly made the experience memorable was the hospitality. Every member of the staff I interacted with was warm, polite, and genuinely helpful. Their friendliness and willingness to assist made me feel welcome throughout my stay. The rooms were comfortable, well-maintained, and provided a relaxing retreat after a day of sightseeing. The overall ambience of the hotel strikes a nice balance between modern comfort and the charm of Shillong. The only downside was the room rate, which was quite steep during the period I visited. However, considering the excellent service, prime location, quality facilities, and overall experience, I felt it was worth the price. Overall, I had an amazing stay at Vivanta Meghalaya and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Shillong, whether for business or leisure. If you’re looking for comfort, outstanding hospitality, and a central location, this hotel is an excellent choice.

Ms Phiba had made my checkin fast and hasselfree. As well as she had arrange early checkin. Ms Phiba Sod from house keeping had taken care of my preferences and refile my steel bottle time to time. In Mynt during dinning time Mr Federick Khyllep had welcome me. Ms Kritika Lyngura had arrange a comfortable table for me and taken my order. Ms Iba Kongsti, fealty and sunita Rai had served me the delicious food. I had enjoy my dinner. At Breakfast time in Mynt Mr Diwakar had arrange a table for me and again Ms Sunita rai had attended me. Ms Jenny pepare a strong cup of tea on my request. Ms Nitisha & Grace had served me the food. Mr Mebanri Kyrpang M. Toi had handle my laugage carefully. Ms Darisa had made my check out. Ms Ame Labet had seeoff with her cute smile.

Centrally located just minutes away from Police bazaar.Great hospitality and a delectable breakfast spread .The miniature takeaway Skin perfumes were thoughtful.

Located at stone’s throw away distance from the main market and restaurants- obviously not in a scenic place but the atmosphere is tolerable. Clean rooms and sumptuous breakfast options will make your day better. Reception staff and service were very helpful. Overall, value for your money.

My family and I (a group of 11) recently stayed at the Taj Vivanta Shillong, and it was truly an exceptional experience from start to finish. If you are planning a trip to Meghalaya, I cannot recommend this property enough—it is the perfect base to explore the entire region in comfort and luxury. What truly sets this hotel apart is the team’s dedication to guest hospitality. A special mention to the General Manager, Gaurav Kumar, who went above and beyond to ensure all 11 of us were comfortable and well-cared for throughout our stay. The attention to detail was remarkable. The check-in and check-out process was seamless, thanks to Mercy and Phiba, who handled everything with such grace and efficiency. The laundry team also deserves high praise; they managed to remove some incredibly difficult stains and maintained a prompt 24-hour turnaround on every item. As we were traveling from South India, the culinary experience was a highlight. The Chef and Sous Chef went to great lengths to tailor every lunch and dinner to our tastes and sensibilities. It was such a thoughtful touch that made us feel right at home. We also thoroughly enjoyed the authentic local Khasi cuisine offered at the hotel. A huge thank you to the MYnt restaurant manager, Abhishek, and the fantastic service team—Fela, Fredrick, Sayoo, Livingson, Kritika, and Ambika—who anticipated our every need. They even went the extra mile to prepare delicious picnic baskets for our excursions, ensuring we were well-fed while exploring the beautiful sights of Meghalaya. To the entire team at Taj Vivanta Shillong: thank you for making our family trip so memorable. You have set a new benchmark for hospitality. We look forward to returning!

My wife and I stayed in Vivanta Shillong. This is a nice hotel located in the middle of a very happening part of the town. The hotel itself is neat and tidy and the rooms are well designed. We had to change a couple of rooms before we got a room of our choice. The thing is, Vivanta’s location is right in the middle of construction work next door and a bustling market around it. As such getting a room with a good view becomes an issue. However, Ambika from the Front Office was kind enough to find us one such room. The hotel is located in a busy part of the city and has several sights close to it. This hotel has a very quaint restaurant that has a skylight on the top. With elegantly designed seating and a buffet spread to match, it is a great place to catch up on a meal. Service by Fela, Darisa and Chenille was great, although we also came across a couple of F&B persons whose service left a lot to be desired. Mithun the F&B Manager was very helpful as well.
