I was planning to stay in some other hotel but some random shopkeeper at Mall Road Shimla told me about this place. He showed some photos and I decided to visit Nilaya with my wife.. I bet you gonna love the vibes..

I have been going to Shimla from past 3 years , this was my 4th visit and every time I prefer staying at The Nilaya. A boutique hotel with best services, the food is delicious with economical prices, the room rates are so reasonable and have wonderful views, the hotel is neat and tidy, the whole staff of nilaya is very corporative especially Deepa from Front Desk who was there to help throughout my stay. This hotel is located amidst nature but very safe, easily reachable through your personal vehicle or even public transport. It is located at a place where there are many other hotels nearby as well. The location is perfect for nature loving person and also for families or couples or even solo travellers. The entire hotel is beautifully decorated, Aesthetics are simply superb, each and every aspect of the building has been taken care of. Rooms are spacious, very neat and clean and also have proper ventilation both through the window and also through the centralised AC system. Staff is very supportive, very well behaved and prompt in service. Views from the room and hotel are scenic (especially the valley view rooms). You get a very good view of the hills/ nature from the hotel/ rooms. You get a total serene environment. Staff in the restaurant needs a special mention- they were really good in service, very prompt and cordial, very high service standards were followed by all the staff in the restaurant. Full marks to them. Food was also really good. I would like to thank Mr. Sushil at the reception who took us for nature walk and star gazing. He is a true gentleman and service oriented. I would also like to thank Ms Deepa Sharma who handled everything nicely right from booking the hotel room till our departure. Her behaviour was impeccable. Staying at this hotel was one of the very best experiences of mine and my family.

WOW!!! What can I say.... simply MANGIFICENT!!! Extraordinary Palace set in gorgeous stunning setting... An unforgettable stay... Without any doubt will be visiting again next year!! Coming from the UK the Nilaya made my visit so worth it.. The design layout with terrace and bar "in" the roof... offering stunning views. Rooms are spacious with all top facilities. DO Not Miss the Sunset from the Terrace... Courteous, caring attentive staff, from MD to front desk, to housekeeping and kitchen! 5* food quality... with a very well thought-out and planned Menu. I visit this resort in October with company staff and the hotel is very nice and all the employees are very cooperative and also Mr. Arun who is very cooperative he arrange all things in a very planned manner and rooms are very clean and he also provide water activity..

Absolutely a delight to stay at The Nilaya. Property is tastefully done , food is awesome and staff is very courteous.Appreciate Ms Deepa at front office for her immense patience and helpful attitude. Strongly recommend thus place for a wonderful holiday experience.

It was a very good stay for us. Everything was perfect. Starting with the location, reaching to location was easy, road was safe for car and it is easy for walk as well. There was parking for car as well. Overall it was at a peaceful location which is easy to reach. Now to the hotel, hotel had many things to explore like restaurant, bar and gaming area (pool table was paid though, it also had 2 separate dining type tables where you can click some nice pics. Now coming to room, it was spacious and has all the amenities, it has 2 huge glasses for view and a window for ventilation. Only thing was the tv was not smart tv (, so you cannot watch netflix and otts. Coming to food, it was very good and tasty, bit on a expensive side but if you are dining in their restaurant or at open restaurant then it will worth the experience, overall food was tasty and quality was too good. Try to go with breakfast buffet because it had many good options in buffet. Last the staff behaviour, restaurant staff was very polite. Reception staff was nice but can be improve ( may be they are new. Overall it was a great experience for us. I recommend this hotel )
