Shimoda Ocean Park Hotel Reviews

Perfect location on the waterfront Simple Japanese style rooms, lots of space, great bathroom and shower. Good restaurant next door, good food, good value and served by a robot. 7/11 couple of doors down. Easy access from train station

Nice hotel on the waterfront in the cute little town of Shimoda. Room was large and comfortable with a great view of the sea. Onsen was nice too. A couple of restaurants right beside the hotel which is convenient and about 20 minutes walk to the main town area.

The rooms and the large public bath are clean. There's no air conditioning in the hallways, so it's hot... But the air conditioning in the rooms is cold enough so it wasn't a problem.

We stayed here for two nights and one night without meals. First of all, the photo of the hotel shows grass growing all over the place, but this is the grass in the park across the street. The facility is not very clean, but it is not unpleasant either. It seemed like they were cleaning the place well, trying to make the most of the current facilities. You can see the ocean from the window, and depending on the time of day, you can enjoy a beautiful view. The hotel is located about 1km from the city's downtown, so you can walk there and back. The hot spring is on the second floor, and you can see the ocean from the window. However, you cannot see it when you are using it. The price was around 6,000 yen, which I felt was a reasonable price range.

下田的這家酒店在海邊，十足的海景房。👍前台是位老先生，他會英語，估計是前老闆。房間很大，榻榻米睡不習慣，這是在日本住酒店的一大悲哀。這個酒店最大的問題是沒wifi，它説衹有1樓和2樓有，但客房都在3樓以上的。一樓是大堂和飯店，二樓是浴場。
