Unbeatable location with many rooms ( or all rooms) and public spaces facing Tsunoshima Bridge. Our room faced the ocean directly with no obstruction. The bath was also quite decent and the outdoor bath is next to the sea. You can enjoy the sound of the waves while bathing in the hot spa. It should be quite spectacular during sunset. The spa was probably renovated within the last 10 years as it was in good condition. The room , however, felt old and the corridor was damp. The carpet in the room felt damp and the room felt stuffy. The AC worked well and we turned it on high. Our triple room as spacious but I felt itchy the whole night while sleeping- although the sheets looked clean ( I slept on the added bed). The other two beds looked slumped in the middle. Bathroom also looked quite old( from the 70’s)? My room was at the far end wing and there were lots of stairs to walk up and down from the front desk which was on the third floor. The staff will help to bring the luggages to your room ( also at check out - just call). Hotel restaurant serves dinner buffet . If you are not interested, the hotel also has a list of restaurants nearby with 10-30 minutes drive. We drove out to have yakitori in a small down, which was very local, but with friendly owner, good food- and super cheap price ( each yakitori was about ¥120-150 yen. Breakfast buffet has both Japanese and western offers, taste was average. Overall service was very good.

Very classic vacation hotel. Will be very convenient if you drive though. Rooms have super good view. Staff are very friendly and helpful !

I was looking for a place to stay near Tsunoshima Bridge in Yamaguchi Prefecture, and this was my first time staying here. The location is great and you can always see the bridge from your room, so I'm glad I chose Nishinagato Resort! The service was also great, and the breakfast was delicious with a wide variety of options♪ Thank you!

The location is perfect, facing the incomparable sea view, next to Tsunoshima Bridge. The breakfast also has sea view. It feels very comfortable, with a wide variety of delicious food. I will definitely stay here again if I have another chance.

The location is far away so it's a good place to take a day off if you have a car. The view is very nice. However, there are no supermarkets or stores nearby, and there is only one convenience store that you have to drive to. It is convenient to bring groceries from the city in advance.

Great location^^ I like Viking meals. Breakfast is also delicious. It seemed like a lot of locals came to eat. The open-air hot springs are great. The facilities are a bit old though. Delicious food and location I got the impression that this was a competitive hotel. The quality of the hot springs is not that good, but there is a private beach. It was good It's worth staying.

The hotel itself is old and has a worn feel, but it seems to be cleanly maintained. First of all, the view is really nice. Both the room and the large bath have sea views. The beach in front is close and the best!!! Buffet is good too

Nishinagato Resort after a long absence. I was looking forward to the transition to a large public bath and buffet style, but I can't deny the Showa Retro Hotel at the end of the town. Rooms are too old. I wonder if it's coming to the guest room refurbishment that I haven't been able to do much until now? There is no main dish or featured dish, so it cannot be evaluated. It's a shame because the location is good. Only the renovated public bath can be evaluated, but I wanted towels to be placed in the large bath.

Hotel Nishi-Nagato Resort is a hotel located in Oaza Kanda, Toyohoku-cho, Shimonoseki City, Yamaguchi Prefecture. On April 13, 2022, I visited Usa Jingu Shrine on this day. From there, cross the Kanmon Bridge by car. Landing in Honshu. Get off the highway at Ozuki IC. Drive along Route 191 along the coast. Arrive at Hotel Nishi-Nagato Resort. The parking lot is on the slope, but on this day I was able to park in a relatively nearby parking lot. The weather was stormy that day, so it was nice to have a short walk. It's a luxury hotel, so I'm grateful that they carry my luggage, especially in this weather. The facade looks like this. Check in at the front desk. This time we will use the prefectural discount, so please present your vaccination certificate at the front desk. It seems to be a "lover's sanctuary". I have nothing to do with my grandfather and grandmother (bitter smile), but the store looks like this. From the lounge, Tsunoshima Ohashi Bridge is clearly visible. After checking in, move to your room. The floor with the front desk is treated as the 3rd floor, and I'm glad that the rooms are on the same floor. I probably won't use it because I'm going to the public bath, but there is also a bathtub. There are two room keys, so it is safe to go to the public bath. I went to the public bath right away. Although it is said to be a hot spring, it is colorless, transparent, and odorless. Using the prefectural discount, it was about 23,000 yen for 2 people with 2 meals. The wifi was also reasonably fast. Last time I came to see the Tsunoshima Ohashi Bridge, this hotel caught my eye, so it was worth coming all the way to stay. The dinner hall is first up the stairs. It's a big banquet hall. The menu looks like this. sashimi. Shrimp thermidor. Japanese buckwheat noodles. soy milk pot. I also ordered Japanese sake. It was Kiku Masamune. Sake degree is 4.5, slightly light. Fried puffer fish. Sea bream kamameshi and miso soup. Dessert is panna cotta. Breakfast the next morning is at the restaurant on the same floor. The name of the restaurant is "Belvedere", which means "beautiful view" in Italian. Breakfast is a buffet. We checked out and drove on. Spider web between the transoms of the room The room is old I don't think it's worth the price. Dinner will be ready in an hour. When the bath arrives, the afternoon sun shines brilliantly, and there are too few shadows. There is sand on the floor of the dressing room. A dressing room in the summer is uncomfortable unless you make a separate place to wash off people who have been to the beach. Good points The view from the room. During the night tour to see the Tsunoshima Lighthouse, I heard an explanation about Tsunoshima and the bridge.

The Tsunoshima Bridge from the private beach is the best! Course dinner while enjoying the sunset. You can't see Tsunoshima Ohashi from the bath, but... If it's early in the morning, you won't have to worry about traffic jams and you'll be there in five minutes, so you can take the best shots of Tsunoshima Ohashi. On a sunny day, it's as beautiful as an advertisement photo ◎

The guest rooms are spread out so that the entire room becomes a window facing the sea, and you can have the superb view all to yourself. In addition, the restaurant has a large glass window facing the west, and I was impressed by the sight of the sunset. For dinner, you can enjoy seafood (especially assorted sashimi) and grilled Yamaguchi beef, which is the best hotel I've stayed at recently. The hotel itself has been around for over 30 years, and although the main points are old, it is well managed and satisfying.

We stayed here as a family of six. It's rare to find an inn that can accommodate six people in one room, and the website only shows rooms for up to five people, but when we asked, they were kind enough to help us. The large Japanese-style room was well-cleaned and we had a comfortable stay. The view from the room was wonderful, with the ocean and Tsunoshima Bridge visible across the wide lawn, which is something you don't often find in Japan. The hot water is not as good as Kawatana's, but the large bath is a hot spring, and I thought this open view was hard to replace. For dinner, we had the standard course and didn't add any options, but everyone - men and women in their 50s, teenagers, and women in their 80s - was satisfied with both the taste and the volume. The breakfast buffet was large and had a wide selection. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we had to wear plastic gloves when taking food. Although the hotel's name is "resort," most people were wandering around in yukata and room slippers, and it didn't have the atmosphere of a modern, stylish resort hotel. It's an old-fashioned hot spring hotel in a tourist area. However, since it's part of the Kamogawa Grand Hotel chain, I felt that the operation was solid. The facilities are old but have a certain charm, so I think it would be great if they could make use of the old building and renovate the inside well, like in overseas hotels.
