Shirahama Hotels with Gym

The sea view room was great, very clean and tidy, beautiful and comfortable, private outdoor spring in the room, excellent for staying in the room. However, the meals were very disappointed that were unexpected to cost about US$600 for a night including dinner and breakfast for 2 adults and a kid. In particular, the foods for my kid were unacceptable for this price. The restaurant was not clean and the staff were not attentive. We booked the room through Trip.com and mentioned we have a 9 years old kid with us. The staff said they have no such record and required me to prove. Luckily I have the booking record in my App and showed them we did. Then, they said it should be the problem from Trip.com. And then, they said ok and would cost 25000 yen extra for my kid. I accepted, and then they said they could not provide an extra bed for my kid and reduced the cost to 20000 yen, and I also accepted. As a customer, I felt this was not attentive and not polite to request me to prove I had mentioned a kid for the booking. That’s all fine, but the quality and taste for the meals were really unacceptable at this price range, the breakfast was horrible. At last, my case wasn’t a communication problem because the staff who talked to us wasn’t a Japanese and was a native English speaker. Anyhow, the facilities and the room of this hotel were excellent, but the meals and services were not worth for this price.

It would be worthwhile if it was a good season, but now it's off-season and the price is about 2000 per night. With the sea breeze, the whole night is filled with wind noise. In addition, there is an engine noise in the room at night, which seems to be coming from the engine room or somewhere else. It sounds for 10 seconds and stops for a few seconds, and the frequency changes. It is hard to imagine that a room at this price has such facility problems. People who are sensitive to sound will not be able to fall asleep at all. I will not stay here again. I will try the hot spring hotel by the sea next time.

Very satisfied! There is Daiso near the hotel, which is convenient for shopping! The hotel staff is very enthusiastic. I left my water cup on the train, and they patiently helped me communicate by phone. Basically, the staff are very patient and enthusiastic to help with everything I need help with. The private bath is not expensive, but you need to make an appointment in advance. It's a pity that I didn't make an appointment for the private bath this time. Breakfast and dinner are both buffets, very rich!

The hotel room is quite large and designed in Japanese style. There is just no elevator and we have to carry our luggage up to 3/F. And every time you go in and out, you need to go up and down the stairs, think of it as exercise! The hotel hot spring is also very good! The hotel has a parking lot, which is very convenient. Also close to Shirahama Beach.

If I come to Shirahama alone next time, I will still choose this hostel. During the off-peak season, you are very likely to have a room for one person, and each room is divided into four single rooms, so you don't disturb each other. The key is that the location is just opposite Shirahama, and there is Marriott on the mountain next to it. Marriott is 1500, and here is 170. The hot spring ♨️ in the hostel is also very good, with a relatively high water temperature, which is super refreshing. For such a cheap price, there is also breakfast, which is very simple, with bread, eggs, and coffee. Take the Meiko bus 🚌 from Shirahama Station to S-16 or S-17 Mabiyu Station, and get off.
