Best Hotels near 天空のマチュピチュ, Shizuoka

I stayed here with my 16 year old son. We were looking for something very authentic Japanese. Kakurinbo was perfect. We stayed two days after arriving in Japan and it was a great peaceful quiet way to recover from jet lag. The beds were very comfortable and the rooms very clean and spacious. We had the garden view and enjoyed green tea each morning while watching the giant koi fish in the pond. The food was Delicious and artful in presentation. Even my 16 year old son who lives in frozen pizza and ice cream was happy with the food. The wine bath was a special treat and relaxing to soak each evening with a window to view the garden. Even the map they gave us on arrival was awesome not was very detailed and had so Lucy information that was useful as well as interesting. I was sad that the first day I lost mine but the gave me another. We went each morning to the temple service and I recommend to go. During the service a monk shows the incense bowls and invites people up to burn incense. The “map” explains how to do it and watch someone go up then don’t be shy and do it. Also don’t forget to do the water purifying outside. Again, the “map” explains. We also took the ropeway to the top and we’re blessed with a view of Mt.Fuji. Thank you for a memorable time my son and I will always cherish.

There is a snack breakfast and bread 🍞 buffet, so there is no salad or dessert, but I think it is a hotel that is useful for busy businessmen.

To be honest, the difference between actual and picture is quite large. The air in the room didn't feel too good. But free bread and drinks for breakfast (⁎⁍̴̛ᴗ⁍̴̛⁎) There are many places to eat around! Ten minutes walk from the station!

Starting with the pros: - Very friendly and helpful staff who tried their best even if it’s not easy for them to communicate in English and we don’t understand Japanese. - Good location in a walkable distance from both Shizuoka station and Shin-Shizuoka station. Endless choice of restaurants and many shops around. - Spacious room, with separate living area with tatami. The negative: - Below standard cleanliness for any hotel I’ve stayed in in Japan. Mold was starting to build in the grout in the bathroom and spider webs on the ceiling. - There was a faint but constant smell of sewers in the room, despite the multiple air filters and diffusers that were already installed. - It was a surprise to me that it’s not a conventional hotel. The rooms are scattered across several buildings. This was not a problem in itself but it was very difficult to find the entrance to the reception lobby, which was located in the basement level of a separate building. Overall, I was quite disappointed with the stay. At this price point, I expected much better attention to details and cleanliness.

After staying for a week, it continued for another week. The surrounding food, clothing, housing and transportation facilities are very complete, the room layout is reasonable, and the suitcase can be opened to walk, which is already leading other budget hotels. Every time I come to Shizuoka for a fixed stay.

When I stayed at this hotel before, I was able to spend very comfortable, so it is ２ my first time use. When I stayed last time, it was a bathroom with a sense of liberation and non-smoking, but this time there was no room for non-smoking, and the bathroom was a very ordinary business hotel It was the same. The bed was also a outlet on the pillow as a wide 々. It was a room on the ９ floor, but I heard the hotel facing downtown so I was loud and noisy until around 11 o'clock in the middle of the night. I think it was worse if it was a low floor. It is not a hotel, but I think it is better to bring an earplug if you are likely to be concerned. In the breakfast restaurant on the first basement floor, all employees were wearing masks + rubber gloves as a countermeasure against corona, and all the dishes were divided into small groups, and the staff also included rice and miso soup. I thought that the disinfectant was also installed everywhere, and I was taking measures firmly. (However, there was a customer who coughed without blocking his mouth and felt ruined)

栄えてる場所に立地しているのでご飯屋さんがたくさんありました。 ホテルに面してる駐車場は車の高さ的にNGだったので系列の駐車場に停めることになりました( ﾉД`) 少し歩かなくては行けないのが大変ですが、他の駐車場停めるより安かったのでまだ良かったです。 ビュッフェの朝ごはん美味しかったです！

The hotel is located within a 10 minute walk from the main Shizouka train station. As the pictures suggest it is old, dated and spotless clean hotel.
