Thistle Port Dickson Resort Reviews

My first time at a Thistle Hotel. The location is good with a beachfront property and lovely people working here, but unfortunately that is where it ends. The hotel rooms have ants crawling on the beds, cockroaches to keep them company. These inhabitants have been in the rooms longer and are well settled. The amenities in the rooms like the shower have shower knobs that fall off when you turn them. The main door locking system fell off when we closed the door. All this is a build up to the worst item in the rooms. The pillows on the bed are filthy and disgusting, probably a health hazard. Thistle hotels need to invest in this property or it needs to be closed down and refurbished. Food in restaurant is good and well presented. Only spent one night here, that was too much and never again. Again the staff are lovely. Real shame about the hygiene at this hotel.

Personally feel not welcoming gesture from your staff especially from the receptionist, didn’t answer my question properly, a porter didn’t offer me for luggage carry. Except the indian lady staff from the counter on swimming pool, very soft spoken and thank you for the warm service, she always smile and answer my question in a good way. I can see a discriminate service from your staff and for that indian lady she deserves to get compliments.

Nice & clean room, the view from the balcony also super nice. The important one got arah kiblat and sejadah too. Toilet was huge and nice. All thing was good. Got iron also in the room.

Great hotel. Perfect place for healing. Nice pool and seaview room. Great service and friendly staff. Need to improve in term of cleanliness especially the curtain and toilet. Breakfast also ok. Anyway, recommended who wants to stay here especially the panoramic view 😍

impromptu plan from Kl on Sunday evening. We were upgraded from deluxe king/queen to family room. Spacious. Somehow simple and practical, water heater was working, toilet able to flush which very important. Toilet was not equipped with dustbin, probably house keeping fault. Its an old and outdated hotel. Few things were broken, reception was courteous but not friendly. My husband loves the hotel because it was not too big, compared to our usual stay in PD in Avillion. Plus points will be private beachside and a few numbers of pools and waterslides. Will booked again for next visit for its simplicity

Check in took about an hour to room to be ready. No welcome drink. Book a thistle suite room. When enter the room toilet got the smell of the drain. It’s horrible. the main shower area the drain is clogged when shower. The sofa got a patch of stain there. The only thing there are ok is just the bed n bathroom tub. Overall breakfast was just ok. Only thinks is kids enjoy the pool.

Excellent and best birthday trip ever . Good hospitality. Warm and cozy room.. spacious and we'll maintaining hotel. Super big swimming pool. Easy and fast check in check out procedure. All is well. Will repeat again,for sure 😊

Cockroaches and all types of insects… we counted no less than 20. One for every hour we were there (see picture). Bathtub was very clogged and very stained. Toilet flush was broken and clogged, called to repair. No one came until we ambushed a maintenance guy on the corridor a few hours later. Wasn’t fixed completely. AC dripped water in the middle of the night, huge puddle formed in the middle of the room. We used bath towels to soak. Made 2 calls to ask for bath towels, but nobody came. Ambushed a housekeeper and she was reluctant to give us, only agreeing after I gave her the stained towels from the AC. Breakfast was mid. But pool was nice, just very deep. Perhaps the pool is the only saving grace.

The seafront view room is beautiful. The resort environment is calm n beautiful. Outside area was clean. Their swimming pool n private beach is nice too. Will definitely choose to stay here again..

Room was dirty. Hotel was old. Toilet will not flush. AC was not cold. Not worth the money paid. Worst part, i come home with so many bed bug bites. If you have kids, please stay away. If you have a bit of extra money, go to a better hotel.

Best location with best view. Suitable for families and children as well.

Everything seems alright but our room door seems cannot close well can open even without the room key

Overall great service by front desk, liked the hotel ambience and overall feel. Good spread for breakfast ; just that the hotel is doing minor upgrade works at few levels and few rooms bathroom appliances and tub doesn’t look appealing. We loved the pool and the private beach. Sunset snap is a must .
