Golden Butterfly Villa

One of the best hotel I’ve ever stayed at in Siem Reap. The hospitality was amazing. All the front desk clerk was generously kind and helpful from the moment I checked in to my check out. They always greet you with a smile when you come down the stairs and say goodnight when you go back up to your room. Such a good feeling to know you are safe at that hotel as a solo traveller. I highly recommend this hotel. You get to use their sister’s pool at the Golden Temple Residence and Golden Temple Boutique. Both pool was amazing. You can also take their bicycles to ride around the city with no charge. The location is so close to everything. Pub street is only 6min walk and all the markets and restaurants are all walkable. I will definitely be staying at this hotel again next year!

We had a fantastic stay at Golden Butterfly! We were greeted with iced lemon and banana chips when we arrived (even though it was late at night), and every time we'd go back to the hotel and stay for a brief moment in the lobby, we'd be brought a refreshing wet towel. The staff was really kind and accommodating. The room was okay too, and even though upon arrival we had a little issue with the AC leaking water (it still worked normal though), the problem was fully resolved the next day. The area was very central to all restaurants, shops, markets, pub street, street food etc. For tours we'd be usually picked up first and dropped off last. In the welcome pack we received a list of useful Cambodian phrases, which I found really sweet! There's free coffee and tea in the lobby, and you'll get free water bottles with daily room service. Our room had a mini fridge too. There were mosquitos at the end of the corridor where our room was, but we saw the staff spray mosquito repellents on the staircase throughout the day, as well as there were small burners on every floor, so it's good to know they're trying to solve the mosquito problem. No other bugs that we saw. The rooms, corridors, beds were all clean.

The hotel is at the perfect location to nearby restaurants and pub street. Old market and night market nearby too. Overall it’s a perfect for a couple of days but if you are not a deep sleeper so it’s not for you because at the back side there is a school and it’s really noisy since early morning till afternoon. Also the light in the room is less for reading and in general too. The staff is really nice and polite all the time and greet with smile every time they saw you. Refreshing welcome drink with banana chips are really good. Overall it’s a nice stay and recommend for sure.

The staff are very helpful and friendly. The location is great. There's an elementary school next door, so it's lively during the day but quiet at night.

One of the best hotels in which I stayed ever. Atmosphere is warm and cozy. Staff explained me all the information individually from the begging. Interior is really beautiful. I really liked the combination of colours. Room was clean with everything necessary inside. Location is good not far from the river and Apsara theatre.
