Lakmini Lodge Sigiriya

Basic room that is in a ideal area for exploring sigiriya and the surrounding area. The most amazing view of Sigiriya Rock Fort from the roof terrace. Lakmini is a wonderful host who can arrange transport and activities for you if you wish and nothing was too much trouble for him. Breakfast was lovely and made even more special with the view.

We had a great stay here! The rooms are nice and have good A/C. The host is very friendly and made us really nice breakfast. The roof terrace is amazing to relax on with an incredible view of Sigiriya Rock. Recommend!

Chandi is a super nice host. He was very talkative and gave me good tips! Also he organized quite a lot of activities (elephant safari etc.) and transportation for me, and made me a very fair price! The room was clear and I had a great view on the Sigiriya Rick directly from the balcony. I highly recommend the place!

Comfortable and clean rooms with a great view of Sigiriya Rock from the balcony or rooftop. Food is excellent and lovingly prepared. The location is simply excellent - not only for the view, but also just a 15 minute walk to Sigiriya Rock entrance. The staff couldn't have been better - took care of all my needs and made travelling around the area and onwards to Kandy very very easy!

Beautiful view of Sigiriya Rock from the room. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The host family is very caring and gave us amazing home made food. The roof top is good place to sit and relax. Recommended for family stay.

My partner and I stumbled across this place after another hotel let us down last minute - in hindsight, I am glad they did! Luckily, no pre booking was needed and we were offered a fantastic room at a great price. Unlike some of our other stays, this place was spotless. It smelt incredible and you could tell that it had been thoroughly cleaned. The room which we were given had a great view of Sigiriya Rock, as did the rooftop terrace. The host, and his family, could not do any more for you. We mentioned that we wanted some beers, and they were more than happy to go out and get some for us. We spoke with the owner's dad, Chandy, frequently and what a lovely man he was! We visited his shop daily to pick up bits that we needed and he kindly drove us to Sigirya Rock. He also was able to advise us on the best safari tour to go on. My partner and I were considering Minneriya or Kaudulla; however, after speaking to Chandy, he advised us that they can charge quite a lot and you can get a similar experience at another park. He organised the trip to Eco Park for us and we saw an abundance of elephants - exactly what we had wanted - for half the price! He even came along too and we were so pleased to have him there with us! We have and would continue to recommend this place to anyone wanting to stay in Sigiriya! Well worth the visit.
