Facilities: Old-school style, I like it
Hygiene: Clean
Environment: There are countless restaurants around, the atmosphere is the strongest, but there is no noise and congestion like Chinatown, and the bus stop is right at the door. There is really no more convenient choice

Location is just across the famous Tiong Bahru Food Market and also along Tiong Bahru Road and Eng Hoon Cafe area. MRT is Havelock just 5 minutes walk away. The service tend to be old school - attended by not too friendly staff and a small top pool located on the 4th level. Food around is good.

Orchard, Clarke Quay, Chinatown are all within 10 minutes by bus, making it an easy commute.
The area around the hotel is a typical Singaporean residential area and is quiet. Tiong Bahru Market is right in front of the hotel, so you won't have any trouble finding breakfast.
However, the hotel building itself is as old-fashioned as its name suggests, and the location of the power outlets may be a bit inconvenient.

So good! I come here before the place in the past were a bit old for the furniture but cleanliness wise is great, today i come back, it become excellent! The service not to mention fantastic. Staff is kind enough to serve you from door to lift and even care about which room you staying to serve you the best. I really like here so much. I really really have to praise THE SUPER CLEAN BEDSHEET AND ORDOURLESS PILLOW WHICH I AM SUPER IMPRESSED. THOUGH THE ROOM AND HOTEL IS QUITE AGED FROM MY VIEW OF POINT HOWEVER THEY MAINTAIN A SUPER CLEAN BED AND QUILT COVER, MATTRESS FROM MY EXPERIENCE. THIS HOTEL IS CLEAN, VINTAGE VIBE DESIGN, VERY TRADITIONAL VIBE VINTAGE HOTEL BUT CLASSY AND SUPER CLEAN. REALLY LOVE THIS PLACE ALOT, THE SERVICE EXCELLENT. VERY THOUGHTFUL FOE THE GUEST.
