This is our second time staying at the Monastery. The first time was in the summer in 2017 when we hosted a birthday gathering with friends. We really liked the space (enough ensuite bedrooms to house our 30 friends!) and the chapel was the perfect place for the dinner. We did the Vespa tour in Borgloon and it was so much fun. After more than 5 years we returned to the Monastery for another gathering of friends and we were happy to see the place was not worse for wear, in fact the decor had changed and now it has a cozier and pleasant feel with the country style furniture and personal touches in each of the rooms. You can see that the management made a lot of improvements. We will definitely host another gathering here when the weather is better!

Beautiful and large building, but totally discarded. Everything in the house was old, dirty and gross. Everything covered in dust, and just not cleaned properly: especially the bathrooms were incredibly dirty. Garden is large but uncomfortable and not well maintained. Interior has all had its day: everything broken or sagging. Only the beds are quite nice, but very soft. We went home early because it was such a dirty mess and it was unbearable for family members with allergies. And half the lights didn't work. Ridiculous that this is still allowed to rent
