Moxy Sion

Overall, the hotel was a bit outside of the city center of Sion but nothing to complain about. We didn't have breakfast there so I can't say anything about that. The room was clean, a bit small but with enough amenities. Service was also okay although we didn't have too many interactions with the employees.

After some time another stay in another Moxy by Marriott. This one in the Swiss Alps - attractive to Digital nomads too, saw a bunch of them. I like the interior, everytime individual to the bone. Refreshing.

Moxy Sion exceeded our expectations. Truly a gem in the heart of Sion. Few miles away to Zermatt and Grindewald. Accessible to the bus station and if taxi is your preference, their kind staff will call one for you. It’s a boutique type hotel, with such a cozy, blissful smell and vibe. This is a happy place where you would smile each time you think of Sion. Food: Food drinks are reasonably priced. “Life in Pink” cocktails is the best cocktails I have tried! Group / Solo: This is ideal for Family trip, as kids will be entertained. Ideal for business trip, as they have a space designed for working guests. Ideal for friends and single travelers as well, with a bar and huge coach designed for football fans. Staff: staffs are remarkably kind, compassionate, and hospitable. Attentive and polite. Breakfast: Breakfast in Moxy Sion is a winner and what you will look forward to. It’s a big spread and lots of choice. Such a great value for money! We are definitely coming back. Upon our arrival just after midnight, we found the hotel bar and checking area to be extremely busy and lively. We joined in with the welcoming bunch for several pints of Heineken. Despite the busyness, we were pleasantly surprised that the check-in process was completed in under 60 seconds, and we had our keys before I could even taste my pint or half a litre of Heineken. Our rooms were quirky and unusual, but nicely designed and clean. Despite the slight squeakiness of the beds, they were comfortable, and we thought the squeaks added character to the whitely painted exposed concrete walls. The room did not have an air conditioning system, but the management mentioned that the hotel is environmentally conscious. Unfortunately, we were disappointed with breakfast as the two coach loads of guests before us had wiped out the entire buffet. However, we were able to find a nice little café/restaurant once we had checked out. The hotel boasts a large quantity of car parking spaces, both under and above ground, and the area felt safe. All the hotel staff were friendly and welcoming, and I would be happy to spend a couple of days here exploring the area.
