Hotel Sitges

Hotel Sitges is a quirky hotel. The foyer is decorated in a tasteful manner. The rooms are modern, clean and the beds are very comfortable. The a/c is amazing and kept us cool during the hot days and nights. We didn’t eat at the hotel for breakfast but the buffet looked well stocked and enough choice to satisfy most needs. I would like to thank Rosa on Reception for being very helpful when hiring e-bikes. She went out of her way to help. She was also chatty and friendly. The hotel is out of town but close to one of the many beaches. We did not mind the walk to local restaurants and bars. We would stay at the Hotel Sitges again. Thank you.

Great find. We were overall really pleased with this hotel. 3 star but it had everything we needed and it was so CLEAN! The pool area is fantastic. 3G grass. Beautifully lit and the pool was excellent for a dip and play (for my toddler). Although the hotel seemed quite busy it always felt quiet which was great. The room was well appointed and bright. At first we thought we had underestimated what we needed but the super huge tv and very big bed (and baby bed) worked so well. The terrace gave us extra space to sit, have food and dry towels from the beach/ pool. The bathroom was great apart from a slightly leaky shower - the daily cleaning service always had the place looking fab and fresh for us. Towels were supplied a plenty and soft and clean. The hotel is around an 18 min walk to the main streets. However don’t let that put you off. It is a delightful, safe walk along the front with stalls and sellers trading. I enjoyed getting my steps up and the extra walking gave my waist line a jump on all the delicious food I ate whilst I stayed in Sitges! On the downside the hotel breakfast is totally crap (sorry!). Overcooked scrambled eggs and sad little pastries. The coffee is from a generic machine and honestly it is not worth the 15 Euro. Save your cash for the hotel on the front (La Ribera) which for the exact same price you can dine on their terrace with a sea view which a delicious buffet breakfast. Food options doesn’t include dinner so you will need to go out or order in (through just eat etc). Lots of places do delivery and there are fantastic pizza choices around. Lunch options at the hotel are limited to sandwiches and any deviations from the menu are not welcomed. I didn’t enjoy eating there. I hope this is helpful. We found the price of this hotel extremely competitive and worth every penny! We would go back.

I have been visiting Sitges since 2014. We stayed in the Hotel Sitges firstly in 2016 and then in 2018 and 2019, it is a great hotel for us, hence the return visits. If there was a small criticism, it was, unless you booked a room with a terrace, the lack of any usable outside space connected with your room or the hotel. In June of this year I had four days spare so decided to return to Sitges and wanted to stay at the Hotel Sitges. I read the reviews on Trip Advisor and they were indeed a ‘mixed bag’, so this is my review from my stay. Firstly I booked my stay directly with the hotel via their website, I had read at least two reviews which stated that reservations were cancelled by the hotel at the last minute, I can only assume these reservations were made via a third-party operator as my reservation was immediately acknowledgedged by the hotel and no funds taken until two days before my arrival which was the cost of the first nights stay as per the booking conditions. When I arrived at the hotel it was clear that my ‘outside space” comment had been addressed as a new set of rooms had been constructed adjacent to the original hotel along with a sun lounge area, a small swimming pool, in addition to a third building which included new rooms, a breakfast area, terrace and bar. That is where my room was situated. As it was just me travelling this time, I booked a single room, it was clearly newly refurbished with a comfortable bed, a large flat-screen TV an excellent en-suite with a ‘rainforest’ shower. I decided to go ‘bed and breakfast’ and the breakfast on offer was plentiful, cereals, fruit, pastries in addition to bacon and scrambled eggs to name but a few, alongside a good selection of tea, coffee and juices, all buffet-style so you could eat what you wanted. During my stay I used the sun lounges and the pool, the lounges were ample and the whole area was clean and well-maintained. When I checked out on my final day at 12pm, my flight was not until 7 pm, so the hotel held my luggage for me and ordered me a taxi for 4 pm, whilst I walked around Sitges sightseeing to kill time. The only letdown over the four days was the normally reliable Sitges weather, which during my stay featured some heavy rain and thunderstorms but the temperature rarely fell below 24c in the daytime. If you are looking for a great hotel just outside Sitges town then I highly recommend the Hotel Sitges and its new additions
