Travellers Rest Motel

Great value for money, and great hosts. Not far from everything you need but just out of the way enough so you get a peaceful sleep. Will definitely stay again. The only downside is they don’t have their own pub/bar…

So what can I say, 5/10 rating, definitely not the ritz, its OK for a day to two stay, staff was welcoming and show you to your room, which has a double bed, wardrobe and bathroom. However for me as a security officer, it posed a Hugh risk for me, the room door lock and mechanism was not secure and turned 360 degrees when inserted key, so door to room was not secure in the bathroom the toilet roll holder can off the wall (not properly secured), The bed was comphy enough for two days but needs thicker pillows and the walls need a good clean as dirty marks on ceiling

After a last minute trip for my daughters birthday and a quick phone call with John, we booked three rooms. Upon arrival John met us and showed us the rooms and gave us some information about the local area. Rooms were spot on, amazing location and a quality price. As a commuter, I do not often leave feedback as I stop out quite a lot, however the family rooms are amazing and I will be back again with my family!

The stay was comfortable enjoyed everything the room was excellent for wot we needed the landlord jhon was brilliant . They were happy to help delightfull.and well recommended And will be stopping there again next year and a big thankyou so very much.

Overall it was a nice clean room and suited our one night stay.

Bed sheets dirty bedroom furniture scruffy came home early couldn't sleep another night in the skip

Very friendly host and a lovely clean warm room excellent facilities top class comfortable beds dispite being on main road no road noise we stay at wetherspoons hotels but this is on par with them but cheaper why not try you won't be disappointed Marion and peter
