Very happy with my hotel choice for a walking break in Yorkshire. Spotlessly clean room overlooking the canal. Great breakfast with lots of fresh fruit and perfect poached eggs! Lovely friendly staff. Excellent value for my three night stay.

We booked this hotel as a 1 night stopover in a tour of the area. It’s well located and easy to find in Skipton with good parking. Our initial room looked nice and comfortable however, the shower was filthy. We asked for it to be cleaned, the staff were very apologetic and moved us to another room which was fine. We enjoyed our stay, the location of the hotel is good for a short walk into the heart of Skipton where there is lots to see and explore.

My friend and I needed a hotel from which to explore The Yorkshire Dales and came across Herriots Hotel. It is perfectly situated at the southern edge of The Dales. We enjoyed our stay there and found the rooms to be clean, modern and quiet. The staff were very friendly, as you would expect in Yorkshire. Skipton town centre is a short walk away, and the train station is across the road. We would gladly stay there again for our next visit to the gorgeous Yorkshire Dales

Avery good value hotel with friendly staff and a restaurant on site serving good meals.Breakfast was Buffett also with a choice of cooked meals. We were only one night and found it comfortable and clean with an en suite shower with an easy walk from direct access by stairs along the canal to the town centre. All in all a good choice.

Amazing food, amazing service! Portion sizes were generous! Couldn’t recommend enough. We were greeted with polite staff who showed us to our table. We had a waitress who couldn’t do enough to help. She was attentive and so helpful! We will definitely be returning

Arrived for a short 2 night stay. Room was in rear block next to canal, great to come down in morning for breakfast and see the wildlife on the water. Staff were, as usual, really great...nothing too much trouble. Breakfasts were very good, must recommend the eggs benedict. Superb. I love this place because it's just a short stroll along the canal into town, lots to see and do and some really great pubs and eating places. Coming back again. Excellent.
