What a truly special place! Surrounded by forest, mountains and the Storfjord, this is a beautiful and peaceful boutique hotel with excellent dining, exceptional, friendly and professional staff, and gorgeous rooms. Our corner suite and balcony overlooking the mountain forest was one of our all time favorites!

Beautiful lodge in the woods with impeccable service. Come to hike, or come to sit on your balcony and write your latest novel. Five star chef in their restaurant. Good wifi service if you insist on connecting with the outside world. June is an intensely green time to visit.

I had the most incredible stay at Storfjord Hotel. The serene location surrounded by breathtaking nature views was truly a treat for the senses. The staff were attentive, friendly, and went above and beyond to ensure my stay was perfect. The rooms were cozy and beautifully decorated, and the food at the restaurant was exceptional. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone looking for a peaceful and luxurious retreat in Norway.

Being from the area it is only natural to feel that it is a bit pricey. But the rooms are huge and the bathrooms are really really nice and has good amenities. Food was decent enough despite the staff leaving bacon bits in my food despite me clearly saying i dont eat meat. But the location is incredible and the staff was really friendly and attentive.

Lovely hotel & ideal Christmas stay. Lovely room, lounges etc. Good food but would've liked the occasional special because after 2 days, I'd eaten what I could from the a la carte & it became repetitive. Alesund is a shortish drive & think the hotel could organise the odd return shuttle there which guests could share. It was Christmas & whilst we had a car, various guests commented they wanted to visit Alesund but a taxi on their own was overpriced. But overall lovely place & will return.

I was here with work to see the hotel and to check activities. I heard so much amazing regaring this hotel and it was even better than my imagination. Relaxation, luxury, great service and would hav loved to stay longer. Will come back!

This place is magnificent!! The hotel itself is lovely…beautiful suites, beautiful communal rooms and restaurant. The setting is quiet, serene, and flat out stunning. We were there in February, and I felt like I was in Narnia. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and the food was quite good. I would go back to the Storfjord in a heartbeat. Highly recommend!!!

Excellent service. Cosiest atmosphere. Real candle lights on all tables. Jazz music playing in the morning. Two fireplaces also in the dining room. Spectacular views. Friendly and personal service. This is the real Norwegian experience.

A wonderful Christmas stay at this beautiful and cosy hotel. Thanks to the whole team, especially Marta, Emil, Linda and Alma, as well as the restaurant team, for making it a perfect stay. Wonderful views and plenty of spaces to enjoy with a drink, along with a fabulous massage and hot tub and sauna with a view. Can’t wait to return.
