Breakfast is the hidden gem of the hotel. Buffet with great choice and wide range of food. Recommend driving as location is not very great.

This is a great hotel for families, The suites are spacious with a handy little kitchenette. We ate in the bar, there was a nice menu and a kids menu which was reasonable, Breakfast was lovely with plenty of choice. My nephew fancied pancakes and even though it wasn't on the breakfast menu the staff managed to sort him out with some We really appreciated this because he has additional needs and doesn't really like cereals etc We will definitely visit again

Very underwhelmed with this hotel. I stayed for work, and have been travelling a lot lately so feel qualified in my remarks. On arrival the building is very impressive, and I have to give a special mention to Tara on reception who couldn’t have been more helpful. Room - I was assigned a family suite, but as I was alone one room was locked and off limits. I wasn’t told this when checking in so was surprised to have a locked door to another room in my accommodation. The room and bathroom were shabby and could do with some updating. There was a huge pillar in the middle of the bedroom, which I appreciate is structural but it was a bit imposing. Food - breakfast was very disappointing, the size of the seating and buffet areas are not large enough to accommodate the volume of guests. Similar situation in the bar. Conference venue was excellent, and I can appreciate how suitable the venue is for a large event like the one I attended.

From the moment we checked in to the hotel the friendliness of the reception staff stood out , we were made to feel so welcome from the start. We arrived at about 19.30 so decided to leave our things in our room and go straight to Bulbens Bar and Bistro for some food , the starter I had was the Korean wings with a blue cheese dip these were delicious and wow a great portion size my wife had the duck spring rolls and these did not disappoint either packed full of duck , for our mains we had the sirloin steak which the chef cooked to perfection (med rare) with both creamy mash and fries , and my wife had the seabass which she is still telling everyone about and at really reasonable prices just a superb meal from start to finish. But the highlight of our stay were the staff , from the guy on nights to the breakfast staff (breakfast was amazing by the way) but we have to say that the staff in the bistro made our stay so welcoming and the young i think Italian bar man sorry I didn't get his name looked after us both so well , I can honestly say this has been one of the best hotel stays we have had and we cant wait to come back to explore more of what the Clayton hotel and Sligo town have to offer. FABULOUS! if I could give ten stars I would.
