GGuest UserSmall hut, but very comfortably furnished. There were two of us, there was enough space for us and we had everything we needed there. The only drawback (for me) was that the mattress was a bit too hard. But I have chronic back pain, so not every mattress

GGuest UserThe hotel’s location and the atmosphere of Lapland forests is unique and magic, it is unbelievably romantic and peaceful. Meals are super tasty and always there is a lot to choose from. We stayed in the Riverside log cabin, it was very cosy. The guides for the adventure trips were perfect. The only negative issue were some of the waiters, apparently not from Finland. If you don’t tip them a sum of money they consider appropriate, they will completely ignore you and let you feel like a piece of rubbish. They repeatedly took away wine glasses from our table without even asking what we want to order or bringing the wine list and they even stopped greeting us. I have only seen this behaviour in third world countries and wouldn’t expect it in this amazing hotel. It is a shame!

GGuest UserWell equipped spacious cottage, spacious enough for at least 5 people. Decent beds, however, for eight can be found. Two toilets. There were enough dishes, the bedding was of good quality. A small complaint about the quality of cleaning, the dust was by.

EEstelleMagnificent igloo chalet. Superb snowy and calm landscapes. We were able to see magnificent Northern Lights thanks to the alarm in the chalet. Stars in your eyes! And the services are top notch. Awesome !

FFearless02598374230We had an amazing time at Tankavaara in December 2023. Firstly the area in winter is absolutely stunning. Secondly the staff were fantastic in the bar area and guides and driver. Shout out to both Kimmos! We chose to stay in the Sompiotalo Deluxe apartment which was a 10 minute (very enjoyable) walk from the reception. It is a great apartment. In terms of activities we did the northern lights snowmobile tour with Tankavaara (Kimmo 2) which was AMAZING. We also did the Lappish Dinner meal in the traditional Kota and indoor winter gold panning with Kimmo 2. The good museum is also surprisingly really good. We booked husky and reindeer safaris ourselves from Tankavaara recommendations. Absolutely fantastic time.
