Location is excellent if u plan to visit seoraksan. However, it is some distance from town. Hence there are no convenience stores or eateries around. Front counters were vert friendly and helpful. However, room maker up was quite sloppished. In fact, properly the worst I had experienced. Nonetheless, as we are not so particular and we were dead beat after hike each day, we were least concern to see room was still relatively messy n bed was not properly made (I made better beds at home).

Great english buffet breakfast. Amazing location just beside the national park for morning hikes. Great service by staff whom all communicate in good English and Mandarin. The hotel itself has floors that showcase collections by singers, actors and athletes.

It gave an old vibe but satisfying

The hotel is located right outside of the Seorak mountain. Great location!!! The staffs are very helpful and friendly. We got there early and they let us checked in early. The hotel is decorated with old english style and it shows the age throughout the room. The carpet can be replaced and some other things in the room. Our room had a very nice view of the mountain. Overall it was a very convenient and a nice stay. If you want to go Seorak mountain for an easy access, i would definitely recommend it.

Was really looking forward to my stay at the Kensington Hotel Seorak. But when I pay $263AU / night I have a certain expectation that a 4 star hotel will live up to the hype. The service at the check-in desk and in the restaurant was excellent. The hotel itself exudes 'history' and it was interesting spending time looking at the library, hallways and various displays on offer. The menus were adequate for our stay and we spent 29000KRW on the chicken and beer offer on the first night and the steak and wine (120000KRW) on the second night. Breakfasts were 29000KRW/pp or 10% off if you book at check-in were also value for money. However several aspects let the hotel down. Hot water was hard to get - I tried for an afternoon shower and again at midnight with no luck. Larger hotels in Korea tend to have central control over the air conditioning, so if you like a cool room you'll be out of luck by October?? Even having the small window open, and turning of the 'air conditioning, the room was stuffy. Having found a laundry bag and order form I was told that the hotel no longer offered that service. Disappointing. The towels were worn / frayed on the edges (they've passed their useabe date) and though the hotel room we were in had a great view the windows were so grubby it was hard to really enjoy the view. While I appreciate COVID has had an impact on the hotel industry generally, I'm pretty certain that the Kensington, with its views and proximity to Seoraksan, faired better than most. While I would stay here again I would like to think that for prime pricing the Kensington could up its game and ensure that such small issues were addressed.

Location of the hotel is perfect for hikers like us to walk to the entrance of the Seoraksan Mountain National Park (usually there will be a couple of kilometers queue of cars waiting for parking at the National Park’s parking lot). Staff were nice and the room was comfortable, clean and quiet.

Room is very musky smell. We liked the hotel decor. Hotel buffet bfast is really good.

It's a bit out of the way, so when you eat outside, you have to walk a long way, so you have to eat and come back, or use the hotel restaurant inside. There were a lot of flies on the ceiling, but that's to be expected because it's a mountainous area... There are clear lines in the parking lot, and some are blurry. If it's an unused parking line, it would be better to erase it so that there are no unnecessary fights between users.

Overall, I am satisfied, but the facilities are old. There are some inconveniences, but the breakfast buffet is not as satisfactory as expected, but each and every ingredient is good, and the best part is the location.

It is the best value for money. Recommended for your stay. The exterior of the building is old-fashioned, but the interior is neat.

A hotel with a sense of Old World's charm. A few years ago, I came across it while riding the Seoraksan cable car and thought I would like to stay there. It is located in a location where you can see the view of Seorak Mountain, so you can relax and feel the beautiful mountain scenery even in the room. Since it is about a 10-minute walk from the Seoraksan cable car station, I thought it would be difficult to make a reservation in the fall. This place, which is more like a museum disguised as a hotel, is faithful to the concept of classic England from the lobby to the observation deck on the highest floor. The collections displayed throughout allowed us to see how much love the hotel manager had put into it. The traces of famous guests displayed on each guest room floor were something that I liked, but I thought they would make an even greater impression on my parents' generation. When I visited Seorak Mountain in the fall (I don't know if it would be possible since it was peak season), I wanted to visit with my parents. The staff I encountered at the hotel were extremely friendly, and it seemed like they were trying to provide the best service possible. After checking out, I drank coffee at Abbey Road (observation lounge, cafe, and bar), and even though I didn't mention it, they remembered the guest's (me) name and called me and confirmed whether or not I would be given separate credit. I felt that the software was a really great hotel. As an E-Land family, the breakfast was so excellent that it could not be compared to other lodging establishments in similar price ranges. In particular, bread pudding is a dish I want to try again. If I had stayed longer, I would have liked to have tried the dinner course, but it was a pity. There is some room for improvement inside the room, and I would like to suggest things like replacing the wallpaper or providing a diffuser. Although there are occasional parts that require renovation, I hope that the nostalgic and old-fashioned charm of this facility is not diminished. I plan to visit again, and I would like to spend some time relaxing and feeling the atmosphere of this place in the fall or winter.

I felt healed when I saw the mountain view. The facilities are old but feel well maintained. So the antique concept suited me well. The staff were so friendly Dinner (Queens) - Breakfast Buffet The food was delicious so everyone ate it ^^ It was a very good meal, and the kindness made it even more enjoyable. In addition, the view of Mt. Seorak from the restaurant is a bonus. I had a great time staying at the hotel Do Bruma Buddhism at the book cafe on the first floor. There is also a cute convenience store. It was a good course for a walk as it was close to the cable car. For the first time in Sokcho, I didn't go to the beach and just looked at the hotel and Mt. Seorak. You're here It was a hotel where I had a good rest after a long time ♡ I definitely recommend it if you need a break from work.

This hotel already gets 100 points just for the location alone. If your goal is to hike or walk Mt. Seorak, there is no better place than this hotel, located right in front of the main gate of Mt.
