Fatal, there was no hot water throughout the stay, they gave us no answer or solution either in the hotel or on the trip, cockroaches in the room, humidity, repetitive and poor quality buffet, impossible to dine in the restaurants because you had to reserve many days in advance. in advance, before arriving they do not answer emails or anything, the beach is horrible, full of algae, dirty and ugly, to get there from Playa del Carmen it is impossible if it is not a taxi that charges you €60 for a 15 minute ride, from the door entrance to the lobi you have to walk two km and from the room to the beach another 2, they don't even get you close to the door... DO NOT BOOK HERE OR THIS HOTEL, BEST RIU WITHOUT ANY DOUBT

The bad - upon entering the hotel they gave me a room that had nothing to do with the one I booked (sea view) and after trying to talk on the phone they never answered at reception so when I called the operator she only told I went to the reception to ask for it myself. I was at reception for 1 hour so they gave me a sea view room which was closer to the beach and pool. At the beach buffet, when I went for a soft drink, they turned me down and told me the waiter would bring it to the table.
The Good - Food and weekend shows at specialty restaurants.

It feels like I can't always book a high-end dinner...but the hotel is big enough, away from the sea, and the view is good. The equipment is ok, but the price is really good! Have a chance, will come again.

El hotel tiene una entrada espectacular , al ingresar tenía un panorama o daba la idea de un hotel de lujo, al llegar al lobby nadie nos recibió , tuvimos que ir nosotros por el Bellboy para que nos apoyara con el equipaje , el lobby es concepto abierto y por ende entiendo que no puedan poner aire pero es muy sofocante el tener que esperar para que nos atiendan , el personal de recepción muy amable y serviciales , el equipo de concierge parecía que odiaban su trabajo o no les gustaba lo que hacían , muy groseros al responder y no solucionaban nada , la habitación muy limpia, sencilla pero cómoda y el baño muy limpio eso nos gustó mucho, la comida es pésima , no hay variedad y muy insípida, me desagradó tanto el buffet, las bebidas muy ricas y los meseros muy atentos,las albercas geniales aunque sucias.

Wouldn’t recommend this resort especially for Europeans who could find somewhere a lot nicer that is a lot closer. Pros: Great entertainment Food is decent lots of choice Location is beautiful Rooms are spacious and kept very cool cons: Issues with rooms and doors are not fixed at all we had to wait 6 hours for a door to be fixed. Staff in general seem inconvenienced by guests. Beach is a 1/5 really not how described. The pools are all quite shallow only 4ff in depth.

Overall it was about a 3 star. Food options could be better. The lack of chairs around the pool was a huge disappointment.

Overall a good vacation with 3 teenagers. The property does need renovations, but did check most of the boxes we like. There was daytime entertainment/activities and varying nightly shows (Disney night, Mexican, fireshow…) There were several evening restaurants plus 3 buffets and 2 snack stops. We liked Mexican, Italian, French. (We do not recommend steakhouse or seafood). 3 large pools with lively background music. Close to several golf courses. Has a separated kids club with pool plus a zero entry on main pool. Staff were friendly and work hard
Downsides: we did not use the beach, it was full of sargassum. The lobby, entertainment and buffet are a LONG walk to the beach/pool. They did have shuttles, but not enough. (If you like walking, very asthetic!) 24 hour bar gets loud. They could use another bar and washroom by the pools; Line ups constant between 11-5. Not enough shade coverage or chairs. (If you reserve chairs in the morning, stay with it or they will take everything away). Prebook a ride. Booking through ******* I didn’t have a shuttle option and we taxied when we arrived for $260 USD! And finally wifi was terrible. I usually work during vacations and couldn’t due to connectivity problems.
Under new ownership - please add more lawn chairs, umbrellas, keep hiring, keep improving chefs, fix up bathrooms and mirrors, get a shuttle bus to the airport, and do whatever you need to have functioning wifi (today’s world needs it!). This resort has lots of potential.
