Premier Inn Solihull South (M42)

Very warm welcome and everything as it should be. Swift service both at the hotel and Beefeater next door. Good location for motorway but it’s not in Solihull- it’s in Shirley which is a distance from Solihull itself. No problem to us though.

Quick check in. Clean room with a really comfortable bed. Hotel is conveniently located for motorway access

Restaurant opposite is a dump. Didnt open until 6pm supposedly, Pub part shut permanently, No one to serve a beer due to no Alcohol Liscense onsite... Skeleton staff, avoid avoid avoid. Should not be advertised with restaurant by Premier Inn. Walk round the corner if staying to Orleans smokehouse. Really nice. Shame as Staff at Premier Inn nice.

This was the worst premiere inn I’ve stayed in, room and no air conditioning fan in the was rubbish, I order two room joining and didn’t get that….we ordered a unlimited breakfast and it wasn’t a buffet style like in other restaurants. Ended up waiting 40 minutes to eat. Bread, water and juices wasn’t filled up looked like they had run out of everything. Staff was good but you could see they was short handed. Pub where had breakfast looked run down and not like the pictures on line…..I’m sending a complaint once back from holidays

An overnight stay to break up a long journey. Comfy and clean rooms. Friendly staff, 24/7 reception staffed. Easy parking right in front of hotel.

We were attending a family celebration and chose the local Premier Inn for a one night stay. Always expect a good night sleep and in that respect was not disappointed. We had dinner and breakfast in the nearby restaurant but it was really run down and desperately in need of refurbishment. The staff in the restaurant were really good but seemed understaffed and the moral seemed to be low.

The room was hot and stuffy. The temperature kept increasing in the room, it felt it was just getting hotter and hotter. The staff was really unhelpful and have raised it with guest relation but no response so far.

On first impression we were worried as the external frontage appearance was really shabby, you have to go to the rear of the property to gain entry. Once inside nice enough reception staff were friendly, pleasant and smiling. Hallways looked like they needed a good vacuum, bedrooms spotless, very comfortable bed and quiet. Would use again.
