This is our second time staying here. Being a German, everything must be "perfect" and "correct". But I couldn't find anything to fault at Richards place. It's just "perfect"! Very attentive and welcoming, from check-in, to during your stay and when you depart. Rooms are extremely Top Class. Breakfast is really amazing too! All of this makes it an amazing stay, literally makes you feel like you're VIP! Will be going again and again...

Richard & his team were very friendly and welcoming. The personal touch and the round-about service was especially great and the breakfast in the very nice winter garden was amazing! We enjoyed staying at Cape Vermeer a lot, absolute recommendation!

I’m used to travel a lot and this place is special in many ways. Perfect location, great accommodation, best service, friendly staff. And last but not least Richard, the owner, is doing a brilliant job. Helping with best bookings of restaurants and recommendations in every respect ; even with the direction the sun is moving .

Ein sehr schönes Guesthouse in Aussichtslage auf Somerset West. Sehr modern und geschmackvoll eingerichtet mit liebe zum Detail. Das Frühstück im Picknick still ist Super !!Richard der Hausherr ist unglaublich hilfsbereit bei der Restaurant Suche und macht gleich Reservierungen. Wir kommen gerne wieder!

We had a wonderful experience in Cape Vermeer. The situation in Somerset West is absolutely fabulous and the house is located on the hill, quiet and beautiful views. The reception was very friendly and helpful. The room has everything an experienced traveller wishes. Great! The breakfast on the terrace was outstanding and had all the ingredients for a healthy good start of the day. All together it was a great experience we will not forget. We look forward to go back.

Uns hat es hervorragend bei Richard gefallen. Cape Vermeer ist an einer sehr schönen Lage in Sommerset West und in einer sicheren Gegend. Alles hat für uns zu 100% gestimmt: schöne und moderne Zimmer, sauberer und grosser Pool, Sonnenliegen mit Polster und Tücher, super ausgiebiges Frühstück, netter Gastgeber, schöne und sichere Gegend. Wir werden diese Adresse gut aufbewahren für einen weiteren Besuch.

From the moment you will walk into Cape Vermeer you will feel the welcoming atmosphere. The Studio and the Bay View Suite are well appointed, with every small appliance you could want. The beds are the best we ever slept in. The garden is a joy. The breakfast basket a daily surprise. It beats every breakfast we ever had in a hotel. Richard Schuurman is a wonderful host and extremely helpful. His team are extremely well trained and caring. This definitely is a 5 Star+ establishment. We hope to be able to return and enjoy being pampered!

Onze huwelijksreis in Zuid-Afrika sloten we af met een verblijf bij Cape Vermeer. We hebben een droomweek gehad. Bij aankomst werden we zeer vriendelijk en gastvrij ontvangen. We zijn vanaf moment 1 in de watten gelegd. Vanaf onze kamer hadden we een prachtig uitzicht op de baai, vanaf waar we 's avonds de zon onder zagen gaan. Elke keer weer genieten! Ook was het mogelijk om massages/schoonheidsbehandelingen op de kamer te boeken, waar wij gebruik van hebben gemaakt. Iedere ochtend werden verrast met een heerlijk, uitgebreid ontbijt (waaronder heerlijk vers fruit) op een prachtig plekje buiten in de tuin De gastheren gaven dagelijks tips over mooie plekken en restaurants in de omgeving. Aan het eind van de middag namen we bij thuiskomst geregeld een duik in het zwembad, waarna we genoten in het zonnetje op de ligbedden. Op deze plek kom je tot rust! We hopen in de toekomst zeker nog eens terug te komen.
