Wonderful place to stay, gorgeous rooms, great pool, helpful staff and delicious food. Worth every penny.

We originally booked three nights, but the moment we arrived, we regretted not staying longer. Catalina’s Hideaway is, without question, one of the most tasteful, welcoming and unforgettable places we’ve ever experienced. Every detail has been considered. The staff make you feel genuinely at home, the facilities are outstanding, and the design strikes the perfect balance between luxury, comfort and character. The owners have created something truly unique. It doesn’t feel like just another beautiful hotel. It has a soul. You can feel the passion, care and vision behind every corner of this place. Above all, the entire place radiates the laid-back, relaxed atmosphere you’re hoping to find on vacation. If you’re considering staying here, do yourself a favour: book more nights than you think you’ll need. We certainly wish we had.

Their hideaway is one of the best boutique hotels we have stayed at and offers top notch chef's and their amazing recipes, private lux and regular casitas. We had a really great stay at Catalina’s Hideaway, 5 nights over Easter Holidays (Semana Santa) family of 3 with our 6 year old. We found it super welcoming and family friendly from the start. The place feels like a hidden little gem but still close enough to easily do all the tours and activities like surfing, diving, and Coiba National Park. We stayed in the Palm casita. Big comfortable king bed for the adults + 2 twins for kids, solid AC, always kept clean throughout our stay, and the private outdoor shower and tub was a cool touch. Anthea and Ryan were wonderful hosts, and Olga, Nick, Camila, and the rest of the team were all so kind and helpful. They really made an effort to make sure the kids were happy, having fun, and always taken care of. Food and drink options were great, reasonably priced, and they had kid friendly menu which we appreciated. They even organized an Easter egg hunt for the kids over the holiday weekend. Would definitely recommend for families.

Such a wonderful place! The details are impeccable. The owners (who you will likely see on property) have thought of absolutely everything to make this place special. It’s the perfect mix of luxury and authenticity. It’s modern and comfortable without feeling generic and stale. It’s located right next to an air *****, very convenient if you plan to hop around Panama to see different areas. The food and drinks are excellent. The staff is warm and friendly. We took a day trip to nearby Coiba and saw a whale shark while snorkeling. Both of my kids ages 10 and 12 loved it. Thank you!

What a wonderful place. Almost didn’t leave a review as I don’t want it to be too famous but you’ve got to go. Small number of rooms, lovely food and drink, beautiful location and grounds, with brilliant staff and abundant wildlife everywhere you look (including crocodiles and turtles!). Magical

To say that Catalina’s Hideaway is a ‘boutique hotel’ would be selling it short. From the casitas and treehouses, to the (farm/sea to table) cuisine, the beachfront yoga shala, and the care taken to minimize their ecological footprint, Catalina’s Hideaway is intentional in how they take care of their guests and the planet!   The bespoke service is professional and top notch, with the team taking care of absolutely everything – curating your desired experience from start to finish. We took surf lessons, went horseback riding at sunrise, had a beach/hike day excursion and an afternoon in town. The team can also bring activities to you at the Hideaway; I had a massage, did a jewelry making workshop and had a tarot card reading by the ‘town witch!’ Though perhaps what sets the Hideaway apart the most is that you are immersed in Anthea and Ryan’s dream. They’ve built something truly magical and their vibe has a soundtrack – it’s artful, inspired and serene. They have created an oasis for their guests that is curated in a way that only dreams are made of. If I’m being honest, I didn’t want to leave and have already booked my next retreat at Catalina’s Hideaway for 2027.   As a side note, the food is exceptional. Everything is fresh and prepared with care – as a ceviche aficionado the Hideaway’s was the best I’ve EVER had!
