It was a nice unique hotel. The building history is really cool and the rooms represented that. Was pretty clean but rooms are generally smaller the regular hotels but the bathroom was really big and impressive. The pool was great. The breakfast was actually pretty decent the offerings changed a bit in our 2 day stay which gave it variety. The waffle maker is great. I would definitely stay again. Just fyi there are no cards to access the room they are actually keys and the doors self lock.

The gentleman running the place was kind. However I truly feel that the place could use a lot of renovations to preserve the antique esthetics while still maintaining comfortability. The chairs outside the pool were broken and worn, the food in the morning was terrible. Bed was pretty comfy; however the tub had a slow leak and the ac was loud. It was fairly priced, so that was a huge plus. We only stayed one night. Location is walking distance to shops and restaurants. I’d probably stay again, but only for short trips.

Room was comfortable four an over 150 year old hotel.
“Free” breakfast was not very edible. Condiments ran out and were not replaced. Only the coffee was fresh..

The hotel is clean but in desperate need of renovation and sound proofing. The rooms are small but practical and sleep was fine. There is some road noise as the doors do not seal and there are gaps. Breakfast was very basic. Lots of carbs with some fruit It was fine for the price The only real issue was WiFi being very poor

My husband and I stayed here for 2 nights this past week. The people who run this place were all very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable, the bed was just right for a great night sleep. The shower was nice and hot, & they had turned on the air conditioner to make sure our room was cool (100 degree weather) when we arrived. The breakfast was tasty and filling. What a great deal to be able to stay in an historic building (1850) full of charm~!!! We will definitely be staying here again. Lots of charm & character for a great price~! Next time I will take a dip in the nice pool they have. If you like staying in places with lots of unique character you can't beat the price and quality you will find here~!! One of my new favorite places in Sonora. Thanks Gunn house for making our stay with you outstanding~!!

Gunn house is incredible place to get a blast from the past. It's a short drive to Yosemite national Park and ski resorts. Great local food, winery's and shopping.
Highly recommend this house for a stay.

I like to stay downtown and enjoy going to the Gunn House, but I miss having tissues in the room and washcloths in the bathroom. The place is quaint and location is great. Owner was very nice and breakfast yummy!
