This hotel is located a few meters from Sorrento’s main street and square. Everything is within walking distance. Another plus is the hotel staff. They are all friendly and helpful. Breakfast is ok for a 4* hotel with the advantage that you may eat outside. Pool is only 1.40 meters deep. But you can have a relaxing time there. We never had problems getting chairs. Our room was outside the main building near the pool (602). It was the right size for us three, very clean. We enjoyed the proximity to the pool. All in all, maybe one of the best options in Sorrento.

I stayed in this perfect room for 3 days. It was comfortable, spacious and the balcony was the cherry on top. The bathroom was lovely and air con in the evening was a massive help. The main town and beaches are only a 5-10 minute walk away too, the location of this stay was really peaceful. The owner was also incredibly friendly

The Hotel Continental was the perfect hotel for our Sorrento-based portion of our vacation. Every single staff member we encountered, from the front desk to the concierge, to the breakfast staff, was kind, considerate, and pleasant. One of the gentlemen who works the breakfast was always singing and whistling, which always brought a smile to my face. Breakfast was amazing, with lots of options. I am gluten-free and dairy free, and they had plenty for me to eat. They had at least five different kinds of milk (regular, soy, almond, rice, etc…) and had a basket of assorted gluten-free muffins and bread. We booked an inside room with a hotel view, and I was nervous about what the room would be like. It was perfect! It was spacious, clean, and the bed was very comfortable. Surprisingly, our room had a balcony, but it overlooked other hotel balconies. No problem since we were rarely in our room. The hotel is adjacent to a park which has an amazing view of the sunset. We did have cocktails on the rooftop bar one night, but they were a bit pricy compared to the area restaurants, so we only did that one night. The hotel is also within walking distance to many restaurants, shopping, and the steps to get to the marina, and you could walk to the train station if needed.

Such a beautiful location and hotel. It feels like you've stepped into an Italian estate. The staff were amazing, the food - delicious. Our room was perfect with a comfortable mattress... but when will Italy realize we need better pillows. lol... What it's NOT, is close to the action of downtown Sorrento. For what we were doing, it was perfection. But when I got back to Sorrento, I'll stay within walking distance to the shopping and piers.

We had a lovely stay here, very peaceful away from the bustle of the main town. Our cabin (Arancio) had beautiful views of the ocean and Vesuvius, and everything needed for a comfortable stay (fridge, full bathroom, air con etc). Pool and beach were lovely too (although you need to pay for sunbeds at the beach), breakfast was also pleasant and staff friendly with good English. Easy walk into Sorrento, takes about 15-20mins, or 5min shuttle bus every 30mins for €2 each way (note the website lists the bus stop incorrectly, so we could not find it on arrival, it’s actually outside hotel Augusto) there is also a public bus that stops outside the campsite. Only thing to note is no cleaning service, we stayed a week and could have done with fresh bedding/towels but we didn’t ask so can’t mark down for that. WiFi also has to be purchased at reception but works well once you do so.

This hotel was formerly a convent and is adjacent to a beautiful church, and the setting is serene and beautiful. The hotel is spotlessly clean and the staff are so accommodating and helpful that you could not ask for more. The room my wife and I stayed in was lovely and the bed was so comfortable. The breakfast was excellent with a wide choice and the coffee was delicious. The staff were warm and friendly and the service given was among the best we’ve ever experienced. There is complimentary wi-fi ( a rarity these days with most establishments charging a small premium) . We had a lovely stay which was predominantly down to the staff and in particular a lovely lady named Theresa who always went out of her way and was so accommodating. Although the hotel is listed as a “Three Star” it feels like a “5 Star”. Stunning , and would not hesitate to stay here again.

The front desk of the hotel was very friendly and called a car for us when we checked out. Although it was really expensive, it really could only be so due to the location. The interior of the hotel room is clean and tidy, and the price is super high I really like the hotel's swimming pool. The whole feeling of being surrounded by mountains and rivers is very beautiful! There was a problem with the hair dryer in the room at the beginning, and finally adjusted the room for us. The service attitude is very friendly!

Words can’t describe how amazing our experience was with hotel Mary. Vico Equense is the most beautiful place, and only 10 min train ride to Sorrento. If you’re looking for accommodation I would highly recommend staying here! The views from the hotel were amazing, clean and tidy rooms, infinitely pool stunning, huge breakfast served each day, and to top if off a private beach club all included in the price…. Like what?! Truly worth the money and would come back here in a heart beat. Staff were super friendly and recommended great restaurants. All round one of the best experiences we’ve ever had! Stayed in this amazing place for a weekend there recently with my fiancée and its an absolute must. Amazing views of the Amalfi Coast. Dinner/Breakfast in the restaurant out on the balcony over looking the Sea - phenomenal. The Staff could not be more helpful and welcoming. Went out of their way for us on any occasion they could. Very reasonably priced also. Room was lovely and clean with big comfortable double bed. Nice bathroom and shower in the room also. Couldn't fault this place and will definitely be back.

CcharlottieotsieTook my dad on a trip to Italy for his birthday and the first night of our stay couldn't have gone better here. Margrita was so welcoming and friendly, offering us a glass of juice or water upon arrival. She then gave us a plethora of different croissants to choose for as part of the breakfast. There was a classic course of buffalo mozzarella and tomatoes, then a flavoured croissant, and a plate of fresh fruit. The other people staying there said it was the best breakfast ever, and to be honest, I agree. The rooms were incredibly tidy and neat, complete with a fridge to store water for enduring the heat (air con worked a treat, and there were also complimentary water bottles on our first night). The views from the little balconys in the common areas were beautiful overlooking the lemon trees. The location was great, about a 15 minute walk to the beach, which was perfect for us as we were out of the hustle and bustle. And about a 10 minute walk from the station when we arrived. All in all 10/10 honestly, and I don't usually leave reviews but felt the need to do this place and margrita justice! 😊

Villa Oriana exceeded all expectations. We came to Italy for our honeymoon and traveled from place to place but this was our absolute favourite. The hotel has a boutique feel and you get a truly personalised and warm service from Maria and her team. Out of the three hotels we stayed at, Villa Oriana was the only one to congratulate us on our honeymoon with complimentary prosecco and almonds. This surprise meant the world to us. The team offer a concierge service which was really helpful with a shuttle service with a neighbouring hotel into Sorrento town. This was really helpful when we got the train to Pompeii one day. They also helped us to arrange dinner and transportation on the seafront our first night which was amazing - definitely recommend. What can I say about breakfast? The selection of meats and cheeses was amazing. The cakes were home baked every day and made with love. The panoramic views looking out to sea made breakfast a calming and beautiful experience. Lastly the cherry on the cake was that our last night in Sorrento was 15 August which is Ferragosto. Maria told us all about this special holiday at breakfast. At 11pm we got to see the most amazing display of fireworks from the rooftop that I'll never forget. Thank you Maria and everyone at Villa Oriana for an unforgettable stay.

GGuest UserWe just checked into the hotel with 2 king rooms (since we are traveling with our children and need the extra space). We are Diamond members and have had the pleasure to visit many Hiltons across the United States, Mexico, India, and now Italy, but we found this property to not be of Hilton Standards. The rooms are very outdated. The property itself looks quite tired and needs to be renovated. It looks like a 1980’s hotel without the charm. The lobby is pretty, and for the price we paid we were looking forward to spending 2 nights here. However, after seeing the rooms, bathrooms, and the property itself I feel that there have to be better options. The rooms are a 2 star at best because the bathrooms, tiles and room furniture looked very worn and old. The in room safe is so small and is oddly connected to the refrigerator. The outside door locks with a key. We are here celebrating our daughter’s 19th birthday, and to say that we are disappointed is an understatement.

IiDomelIt was quite a surprise staying at B&B Sorrento Central. Totally exceeded our expectations in terms of room amenities. As for the breakfast, do not expect a grand spread. However, they do have waffles, pancakes, bread, croissants, cornflakes, mueslis and yogurts. They have a water dispenser for filling up for water and a coffee machine that is available for morning breakfast. Walking to town takes about 8-10minutes, the port however takes around 25-30mins. Do note that there is a bowling alley right beside the B&B and there is a chance of hearing balls rolling down the lanes till 11pm 😆

AAlphaEaterNoticed that this place didn’t have a single 2020 review so wanted to share my experience from end of Aug. 2020 (4 night stay, couple). Summary: nice place, great location, good staff, but a lot of surprises which can leave a bitter taste. Perfect for a 2 night stay, beyond that it goes a bit downhill (cleaning). Also, avoid room 3, the other rooms are much better (better decor, newer AC, newer TV...). Location: excellent, walking distance from everything BUT please note as other reviews have flagged that the ‘hotel’ is in the third floor and there’s no lift (Photo of stairs attached, you’d go up 6 of these). Staff: friendly, they work hard to make sure you have a pleasant stay, even if when they are not actually around. They went out of their way and gave us a new room after a cleaning ‘misunderstanding’ (that’s when we moved from room 3!) Hotel: nice modern decor (unless you get room 3 which is dated) but be prepared this is really more of an Airbnb, here’s why: (1) No ones there most of the time. Staff are around 7:00-12:00 to make ‘breakfast’ and supervise cleaning, the rest of the time you’re on your own (even for check-in). (2) There are a many details / caveats which were not communicated in advance and can be a surprise when you stumble on them... - Breakfast buffet: cancelled due to COVID. You now get a tray with warmed croissants, a yogurt and a tea/coffee/chocolate (shame but I get it..) - Cleaning: only done once every 2 days, does NOT include a change of bed linen. We got back after a long, exhausting hot day in Positano and found the bed hadn’t been cleaned after 2 days... (turns out fresh linen is an EXTRA €20, no matter how long your stay). Also I have my reservations about the ‘cleaning’ thoroughness in general. - Towels: same as cleaning, only changed once every 2 days. If you want a fresh towel sooner EXTRA €20. If they forget to change your towel, you’re in trouble as there’s no one around. - Hot water: each room has a 30L boiler (photo). If you take a medium/long shower, prepare to be cold or have to wait for hot water to heat up again. Same issue if two people want to take consecutive showers. Not terrible but not ideal. - Everything is locked, so if you run out of shampoo don’t expect to get any until the next day (there’s a supermarket 5mins walk though) Advice to hotel: if you want to up your game and be a place for longer stays then cleaning is the place to start. Introduce daily cleaning (proper cleaning where my suitcase actually gets picked up and cleaned under, where the room is really tidied and made to feel fresh, and where things like the remote control are properly disinfected), fresh towels daily, fresh bed linens on request (but FREE) and be upfront with anything that isn’t included as standard. Also, would be cool to have the option of someone being there at check-in (e.g. customer picks a 1h slot) to ‘introduce’ the room, help with luggage and make this a more welcoming experience. If anyone feels t

GGuest UserThere are pros and cons to booking this hotel. Firstly it’s not too expensive. Yes it’s situated nicely to accessing central Sorrento but it is situated at the junction of Via Bernardino Rota and Via Bartolommeo Capasso which are very busy roads…one leading to the local elementary school and local Police Command Centre the other a busy main thoroughfare. There are two zebra crossings by the hotel which realistically are ignored by the Italians so be very careful when crossing. The noise of traffic is a constant and the pollution from vehicles is ever present…we could smell it from our third floor balcony most days. It does quieten off late at night but it can disturb a good nights sleep…..we could hear traffic on occasion from 04.30am with bins being emptied and bottles being rattled as they are taken away. As for the hotel it is a three star hotel so don’t expect anything swanky. It is neat and tidy and is kept spotlessly clean by the girls who see to the rooms etc…they are fantastic. The dining experience from my point of view was variable…breakfast service and food provided was good. Evening meals were chosen at breakfast time from a list provided by the staff…..you basically tick off what you fancy from the choices available…I found the evening meals variable in quality….some were good, some were not. Some guests we spoke to had made complaints that their food was cold upon being presented to them. Must say they do good soup. We did not eat at the hotel every night ….to be fair I’ve had better’s Italian food from local restaurants at home. Bedrooms are spacious, bed comfortable but we found the pillows a bit hard but that’s just our opinion….as said previously the rooms are kept clean …so no complaints. The bathroom although dated was functional and everything worked. The hotel lift at best takes two people at a time so get ready to wait if you find the stairs a hardship. Overall the hotel is what it is…an unpretentious hotel befitting of it’s three star rating…..some guests had returned for the fifth time so they clearly liked it….would I use it again….probably not….I think it’s worth spending a few extra quid and seeking out a hotel that is just as close to the centre but has a better rating.

We were delighted to stay at Villa Maria it is a top hotel one minute walk from the main drag / 5 minutes into the town centre. Our room on the fourth floor was perfectly good double with a shower room. NB - if you are a big fatty you will consider the room small and not be happy about it! The room was clean and cleaned regularly, linen good. The decor in the loo (floral tiles) is perhaps dated but quite kitsch, all good. The water pressure in the shower could be better but that’s the same the world over! Some hooks in the room would be useful and easy change I would recommend. NB - if you are a precious prima-donna who thinks everything is beneath them you will hate it! We had a wee balcony at the back which I really liked - a bit like the view from a train when you see the world from behind - looking out on the the everyday life of the world and his wife in Sorrento. The dining room was airy, bright and busy and the staff very friendly. We only went for breakfast which was adequate (ie there was stuff to eat) but as vegans it was (as it always is the world over) pretty limited. There was plenty bread, jams, muesli , fruit and coffee ( with soy milk - that was much appreciated). Although half board we didn’t eat dinner at all in the hotel for the reasons. I’m sure the maitre d and chef would have ‘adapted’ something from the dinner menu ( which I see from other reviews people have praised them for) but on a matter of principle for me a dish either is or isn’t vegan. In a nation famed for its seafood and charcuterie what else should I expect! The pool & pool area was great, never too busy and really relaxed. My only word of warning be mindful of how many Cokes and bowls of chips you have! They are not cheap and it may catch up on you, as it did me at check out! On floor 6 there is a superb sun deck with awesome views for sunset which was bizarrely underused, quite often we were the only people up there (which I liked!). The lifts are little and slow, but expect on arrival and departure with suitcases , all able bodied people should do as we did and use the stairs, especially if you are a big fatty! The reception staff were the best, greeting us like friends every time we came and went, they also write the most withering and hilarious responses to negative reviews on here which really made me laugh! Overall great, I would heartily recommend you book Villa Maria (unless you are a big fatty) Thanks x

VVella55Very nice hotel, atmospheric and beautiful. The men at the front desk are very polite and enthusiastic. It's a pity that the restaurant starts breakfast at 7 o'clock, and many customers are already waiting at the door, and the restaurant's door will not open on time at 7 o'clock, it will always be 2 or 3 minutes late, but the fact is that there are not many service staff in the restaurant. In fact, even if it is not ready within the specified time, at least the door should be opened on time, and guests should not be allowed to stand outside the door and wait.
