While a bit difficult to find within the medina's winding streets, the hotel is a lovely, hidden gem that both me and my father loved. You're greeted by the lovely owner with two small kittens that are just adorable. Our room was well furnished, air conditioned and had a very clean bathroom. The roof terrace offers a great view of the Sousse skyline and Medina and is perfect at night to enjoy the call to prayers. Breakfast was served in the main court area of the hotel. Very nicely decorated and the breakfast was very traditional. Nothing too heavy, but still filling nonetheless. You know care and love went into making it.

I would class this hotel in the same league as a royalton by name! It definitely is not. It’s a 5* but it’s really a 3* tops. I work remotely and there WiFi just does not accommodate I simply cannot work from it. There is no snack bar throughout the day you have to pay for it! We are all inclusive we have never been charged for food in an all inclusive EVER! Day 2 and we are very disappointed to say the least. No entertainment other than a singer on an evening. I do not usually complain but we are highly disappointed! Hotel is very clean and friendly staff but all in all it’s crap!

Hello I am going to give you my personal opinion in relation to what I have seen and experienced in this hotel it is not 4 stars sincerely I was taken in when I arrived I find no swimming pool neither indoors nor outdoors it is disappointing and the hearty breakfast it looks like the canteen of my old faculty in short it's just apartments for rent so no luxury

Check-In Experience: From the first day, the hotel was extremely crowded. We received the keys to our room at 4:15 PM, which was significantly late since check-in was supposed to be at 2:00 PM. We had to wait over two hours. It was noticeable that the reception treated tourists differently; they were given their rooms immediately upon arrival, but as Algerian or Tunisian guests, we were made to wait. Room Condition: We stayed in a bungalow, which was missing several amenities. The pillowcases were absent, the TV was old and broken, there was no hair dryer, and the remote for the air-conditioning didn’t work. Additionally, there was an issue with the toilet flush, forcing us to use the public restroom throughout our stay. We complained to the reception three times, but nothing was done to address these issues. Also the room was very small, with no sofa. Food: The breakfast was okay, but the lunch and dinner were disappointing. The food was not well-cooked, and the menu was repetitive, with the same dishes served every day. The lines were excessively long; for example, it took over 40 minutes just to get some fish. Also, if you go late to the restaurant you won't find anything to eat. Pool and Beach: One positive aspect of the hotel is its proximity to the beach, which was beautiful, and the pool was large and accommodating. Entertainment Team: The shows were decent, but some members of the entertainment team need to engage more with all the guests, not just the tourists. However, there were plenty of activities like aqua gym, kids' club, and ping pong, which was great. Bar and Restaurant Staff: The bar staff were good and attentive, as were the restaurant workers. Safety: The hotel’s safety was questionable. We encountered a woman who had her passport stolen while her bag was on a chaise longue by the pool. It’s essential to be vigilant with your belongings. Additionally, fights among guests were common; it wasn't unusual to witness four or five altercations in a single day. Location: The hotel's location is convenient, situated in Kantaoui. Wi-Fi : The wifi only works at the reception and it's poor. Checkout Experience: Given the late check-in, we expected a later checkout. However, a cleaning woman knocked on our door very aggressively. She was rude and impolite, to the point of almost starting a confrontation, but we chose to ignore her behavior.

GGuest UserThe hotel itself is a bit tired but the staff really are what makes it. They are attentive and jolly (one member of the bar staff was miserable the whole duration - might be in the wrong profession?!). The food is acceptable. It lacks seasoning and flavour but it does of course need to cater to as many palettes as possible. If you like flavour, take your own condiments (I hesrd the ketchup was rubbish but didn't try it perdonslly). The food is also a bit repetitive largely consisting of grilled meat (beef, turkey, quail) and fish, stewed lamb, chicken and beef, potatoes (mashed, sautéed), chips/fries, grilled vegetables (courgettes, carrots, squash, tomatoes, okra), pasta and pizza, soup. There was also a variety of different salads and bread (which always seemed stale to me). At breakfast there is no bacon! There are omelettes, fried and poached eggs cooked to order. The omelettes were delicious. There was also grilled vegetables, beans (not the baked beans us Brits know and love), grilled frankfurters, pancakes, pastries, fruit, yoghurt and museli, fresh juice and tea and coffees. Our waiter, Salah, was great. He kept us topped up with drinks and made sure we had everything we needed. He was always smiling and welcoming when he saw us head over to the tables and it made us feel like special guests to receive his superb service. The rooms are spacious, but despite requesting a double garden view room we were given a room overlooking the car park and two single beds pushed together. The pillows were not comfortable - a bit too hard and thick for me. Plenty of storage space but very few hangers. A wash and ironing service can be provided at additional cost. Tea and coffee making facilities are available but we didn't make use. The tea wasn't great so take your own teabags. The bathroom is huge, equipped with a bath and shower overhead. the shower was always warm but not high pressured, though did a good enough job for washing my hair and rinsing out sand, shampoo etc. Our bath didn't drain well and took a while so no showers in quick succession. The hairdryer in the bathroom is terrible - I never managed to fully dry my hair with it. Do take your own. There is a vanity table and mirror in the room but I found the lighting at night too dark to do my makeup. the bathroom was better lit. Drinks are ok. Beer is a 3% local and red wine a 13% local drop. The white wine tastes like vinegar so we avoided that after the first glass or two. Cocktails are strong but very sweet. They have Coca Cola and other local soft drinks poured from bottles so can be a little flat. All drinks are served in tiny glasses/paper cups, some people had taken their own (pint) glass out with them and the bar staff did fill them. The entertainment wasn't our cup of tea - karaoke, quiz, live music, drag show. unfortunately it was too chilly to sit outside so we were confined to drinking in the lobby where the entertainment was on, so we were largely subjected to

Very Good
Normally I only write reviews regarding highly recommended spots or places to be avoided. Happily Hotel Paris Sousse falls into the former category. I am not a ”bakpacker” and when travelling I am fortuneate to be able stay in a variety of places from $40 to $400 dollars a night. This hostel/small hotel falls at the lower end of price and is located within but on the edge of the medina making it in an ideal position to visit the old and the new town. The rooms are very small but clean,with good hot water and good beds. There is a very nice restaurant attached(Restaurant du Peuple) which is open for breakfast and lunch. All in all excellent value.

GGuest UserWe couldn't get to Soussa by an accident. We were already out of time for free cancellation that day, the accommodation could charge us if you wanted. However, they understood our situation and cancelled without problem, without getting charged. GGuest UserVisited Royal Salem is Sousse for a weeks break with my partner. From arrival we were welcomed by all the staff. The food was brilliant, plenty to choose from. The swimming pool and private beach were perfect. The evening entertainment was very enjoyable. The Animation team were very fun and get everyone involved. I would highly recommend this resort for all trips away. Next time we will most certainly bring our children. Perfect for any family holiday.

The transportation is convenient, the access is very convenient, the room rate is cheap, and a dinner is included, but the room facilities are very old, the toilet has no threshold, the water is easy to overflow, and there is no quilt on the bed. Sleeping is very cold at night.
