Sunderban Tiger Camp

We went in a complete package ( Kolkata to Kolkata). The experience was amazing. Right from the road trip till the drop off at Kolkata was immaculately designed. The entire staff led by Swarup bit were extremely hospitable, helpful & left no stone unturned in order to make our stay comfortable. The food was simple yet tasty, the cultural performances in the evenings were appropriate after a tiring day, the safari's were long and intense. The icing on the cake for us was the tiger sighting. Amongst the entire warm and always smiling staff, special mention goes to senior members Bharat Choudhury & Arun Mandal ( Kitchen). Overall the experience was amazing.

We stayed at Waxpol Tiger Camp, Sundarbans from Jan 16–18, and honestly, it was exactly what we needed. Coming from hectic lives, this place felt like a true oasis. What really stood out to us is the quality they’ve managed to create in what is clearly a challenging terrain. From the rooms to the hospitality, everything was thoughtful, clean, and beautifully maintained. You can tell a lot of care goes into every detail. Nothing feels rushed or careless. The staff were warm, attentive, and made us feel completely at ease throughout our stay. The rooms were spotless and comfortable. Even the little things, from how meals were handled to how needs were anticipated, made the experience feel seamless and well worth the money we spent. We actually skipped the 6am boat ride one morning and chose to stay back and explore the property instead, and I’m so glad we did. The camp itself is stunning. There’s so much to take in that a tour of the property alone would be worth it. We also loved the souvenir shop and ended up buying way more than we planned since everything was so well curated. It’s hard to believe it took us so long to visit. We were already telling friends about it while we were there, and I know we’ll be back. A big thank you to the entire team for creating such a special space in such a unique location. Highly, highly recommend.

Wonderful experience Rooms - rooms were well maintained and very clean Staff- very helpful , always with a smile Food - great food , fresh tasty , we were also allowed to place our choice of dishes Evening - relaxation with good local Music and bonfire And the safari was Mind blowing
