Serviced apartment, you can cook your own breakfast, the set is 2 rooms, 1 living room, 2 sanitation can sleep 4 people, the location does not say, in the South Bank (attractions) is very convenient, there is parking! The only regret is that the dryer in our room is broken, everything else is good! Every time I come to Bucun, I look for an apartment. It feels like home and convenient.
I have been staying here for years. I love the location, very easy walk to Southbank and the city. I think over the years I've stayed in every room and apartment. This time it really showed how tired the rooms are. Free parking is great. Free wifi is unreliable depending on which room you stay in. The staff used to be always lovely and welcoming, now the self check in and check out is cold and unfriendly. I would recommend West End Central Apartments for it's fabulous location but don't get excited about the rooms

The hotel is nice and clean. For it's price it's worth the value and a short distance walk to everything plus providing parking for your car. The only thing I thought was missing is the hotel didn't provide any water to use for making tea and coffee that is provided.
Check in with very helpful staff member. Room spacious with comfy beds and bedding. Location is perfect right in heart of Southbank with cafes and restaurants everywhere. Double glazing on windows kept out train noise pretty . (Train line runs near hotel) and despite central location the rooms are very quiet. The rooms could do with a refresh as some furniture is a bit scuffed and shabby but did not interfere in comfort of our stay.
The location is convenient, close to the South Bank Park. Fully equipped, it can be fully equipped for washing and drying. Wifi is very good, unlimited use. The shortcoming is that the apartment is located at the intersection, the glass is a single floor, noisy
To be honest, I'm not sure how Opera Apartments South Bank has such a high rating. Here's a breakdown of the good and bad. Good: o Fully equipped kitchen o Balcony with outdoor table and chairs o WiFi is good at >50/50 Mbps. o The rooftop pool and BBQ areas are nice. The pool is a great place from which to watch the sunset. o Fantastic location. Very convenient for attending conferences at the exhibition centre. Bad: o Cockroaches in our bathroom and kitchen! Once it was dark, cockroaches came out in our bathroom and kitchen. On the first night, we killed four in the bathroom and two in the kitchen. o The front door has no signage to indicate where to enter Opera apartments. The door to enter the building does not automatically open and often the reception is unattended. So you have to use the keypad at the door to even gain entry to the building. We saw lots of new arrivals who were left very confused by the system. o We arrived at 12:30 pm and checked in, but as check-in time is not until 2 pm we dropped our luggage and then went off to grab lunch and coffee. We returned at 2 pm but were advised that our room still wasn't ready. We were told the room would be ready at 2:40 pm. Since we had already had lunch, we had nothing to do but sit around in the reception area until our room was ready. At 2:47 pm we were advised that the room would be ready in 10 mins. The room was then ready at 2:57 pm. When we entered the room it had a chemical smell and the kitchen floor was still wet after cleaning. o The walls were covered in dust. Additionally, all the air conditioning vents were caked with dust. There was an insane amount of dust behind the bed. As someone with allergies, we had to be very careful not to disturb the dust otherwise I would have been sneezing the whole time. o No tissues were provided. o No towels were provided for the pool. o The hallway had an unpleasant smell. Then the room also smelt but it was a completely different unpleasant smell. o The tv was fairly small. Only about 40”. o We were on level 3 and we couldn't have our balcony door open as there was a loud noise from air conditioning units under us and the building next door. With the door closed though the noise of the air-conditioning units outside wasn't an issue (but then you're trapped with the smell!) Overall, I do not recommend Opera Apartments South Bank. Complete waste of money. Still traumatised from all the cockroaches coming out during the night and the smell in the apartment.
Stayed in a room for 3 adults was 3 single beds which could be reconfigured accordingly. Room had a small dining table & chairs, microwave, kettle, toaster, glasses, cups. Small balcony with a 2 chair table. We were on 6 floor & had city views including story bridge. Rooms are very clean & pressure in shower fantastic while only hall cubicle. Due to show running late & traffic we had to check in after reception had closed but this wasn’t an issue at all
We had a great time in Brisbane. Our apartment was clean, comfortable and quiet. Really well equipped for cooking and self catering. Washing /laundry facilities were a real help too. Reception staff were wonderfully helpful in particular Bella. Thank you for the suggestions and tips to get around the city, and for the help retrieving my photos from USB to my email while I didn’t have my laptop. And the complementary sleep spray & relaxing music playlist were a nice touch too! Much appreciated. Highly recommended. Thanks again Emma & Scott - UK
Wow just wow . Spectacular views. After reading reviews we were not sure what to expect from accomodation but what a pleasant surprise. Studio room bed facing balcony .could not close blinds to that view. Amazing. Lovely small kitchen space dishwasher ,fridge, micro and cook plate. Nice modern shower room . Clean cheery above what we expected. Walk outside and so close to eateries pubs etc . Could not have picked a better spot .only one thing could improve it ” a little coffee pod machine ”love this place.

Outstanding
LLiberalPaulFantastic location. Service was amazing, with shout out to staff - Exec Chef James, F&B Operations Manager, Gareth, Christine from the Signature Restaurant just to name a few who made our stay amazing and went the extra mile. In fact all the staff we met were really helpful, attentive and happy. Recommend the upstairs pool, the terrace bar for cocktails. Book it, a perfect escape…leave the kids at home.
GGuest UserBooked through Luxury Escapes.. sorry to say I should have checked reviews first. The location is good restaurants and hotels nearby plus easy walk to convention Centre..but that’s where the good news ends. Tiny one bedroom, weird balcony with no furniture, no decoration and the most uncomfortable lounge and chairs. View over building site. Had to ask for tea and coffee sachets, for the bottle of wine that was supposed to cone with booking. No ambience at all!
The location of the hotel is very convenient to all of the area attractions and points of interest. We were able to walk everywhere. The staff at the hotel were very friendly and helpful. Additionally, the hotel was very clean and is eco-friendly.
SSDeeNice clean 1-bedroom apartment with well-stocked kitchen and comfortable bed. Very central to South bank and West End and near the river front. Just wish that they would spend some money to heat the swimming pool during the autumn and winter months. If your apartment faces Edmondstone Street there is a high-rise apartment being constructed and the crews start working at 7 am which can be noisy.
GGuest UserWe had to find alternative accommodation at short notice with some difficult personal requirements. The staff at rydges southbank assisted greatly with answering multiple phone calls beforehand to assist. Although not guaranteed, we were given the impression that arriving early at 12 wouldn't have been a problem but didn't get our suites until 2:10 as this has happened to us before elsewhere and advertised check in is 2 we took this as a learning experience check in is 2 plan to be at hotels at 2. We have two king suites on the same floor. This was closest we could figure to adjoining rooms in Brisbane on short notice, which, as already stated, Rydges staff helped organise prior to booking. Both king suites are of good size with a bedroom and separate lounge area and large TV of which both allow use of personal streaming services from phone or laptop there are plenty of charging points and all the usual mini bar tea coffee toiletries fridge and microwave. King size beds are comfortable, although the sheets seem a little small, so I trash them the A/C in one suite is a little too good, and maintenance have turned off as cold bathrooms look recently done with bath and separate shower with good hot water. There is an app for nearly everything here, including room service and digital room keys. Although swipe cards seem more reliable on door locks, the app itself works well and has a surprising amount of things included. Room service always arrives at requested time (on app) and appears to be the same price as eating in Cafe downstairs with only a $4 tray charge added. All food has been great and reasonable priced for hotel food. The cafe downstairs has the same menu with bar and a good range of drinks. The staff is great and always friendly, and I seem happy to be at work. There is a very well equipped gym and large spa separate to the pool area, which so far our stay has been a little cool to use. Best of all, our suites are fully serviced and super clean and restocked daily, which extra amenities and services can also be requested via the app.
GGuest UserThe room was very spacious and very clean. There is a swimming pool. There is also a washing machine for washing clothes. There is also a kitchen for cooking, but it was not used these days.
GGuest UserFantastic - really great location, near the convention centre, the ferry and shopping area. Very modern and clean, great to have a place to make a piece of toast and cup of tea in the morning. Would highly recommend to anyone staying more than a few days in Brisbane.
GGuest UserTravelling to BNE every 15 days and I used to stay in the CDB, even when attending some conferences in BCEC. Due to a last minute booking, I ended-up at the Novotel few months ago, and this place is officially my new HOME when in town. Clean and tidy very modern quiet rooms, 100m walk from exhibitions halls (thanks to a shortcut at the back), with a 24/7 accessible parking (you can get in and out easily), this place is super convenient. You are just next door to all what Southbank has to offer and a short walk distance (or scooter ride) to the CDB (pedestrian bridge over the river) Staff are young and efficient, smiling all day. ACCOR Motto btw. Last but no least, you stay far from the noisy students/backpackers nightlife + trains / highway of downtown. After all, even if you are in Bris-Vegas, you came here for a rest!
GGuest UserWasn’t planning on staying here, but was bumped to this accomodation at the last minute by Clix. So a bit disappointed as we were staying at one of their other buildings which was closer to restaurants etc and had a better pool. The apartment was clean and looked out over the hills and river, the bed was comfortable. Could have done with more kitchen utensils like a baking tray for starters. Stove had a wok burner but no wok or fry pan. Tiny wash basin with no side bench so had to put stuff on floor. Shower door handle had coroded and needs replacing. Disappointed in the pool, even though technically out doors it was all under cover thus no sun light so a bit chilly as it acted as a wind tunnel. Also was on 22nd floor and could still hear trains that ran past building.
GGuest UserStayed in a one bedroom apartment. It was very large and clean. There is a lounge area and kitchen separate to the bedroom and bathroom. I also had a very large balcony. The furniture is a bit dated, but it's all clean and in good condition. There is no servicing of the room during a stay so ration your toiletries and the like. Reception is only available limited hours and not outside business hours. Overall a good base for a work trip to Sydney.
