Green Mountain Suites Hotel

We recently ended our East Coast trip at Green Mt. Suites in South Burlington, VT. Before this, we had stayed at a few Hampton Inn hotels and were very pleased. I was expecting exceptional service from GMS as well, but this place is far from exceptional. The two men working the front desk were the ONLY two professional individuals in this place. They were helpful and answered my questions. We left today 6/29/24 for home. *Housekeeping was terrible. Left giant nasty bags of garbage by our room overnight!!! Room #340. I told my husband how disgusting that was and he said "Relax, it will probably be taken in a little bit." The next morning when we went for breakfast, it was still by our door! Someone had added outside food to the top of the trash bag! *My mom was a housekeeper for many years, so I know what a hard worker is and someone who cleans thoroughly. The housekeeping staff at Green Mt. are not! Furthermore, it took hours for the housekeeping MAN to finally come up after I requested multiple times for towels and to change garbage before a certain time when we returned. That didn't happen though and had to call the front again. When housekeeping finally handed us the towels and said, "Anything else?' My husband was like " Please take the garbage." As we had requested. When my daughter and I returned shortly after that. We both looked at the heaping garbage by the kitchen and said, "Housekeeping didn't come." But apparently, he had! The man did not even take the trash by the kitchen. Food was left in between the pull-out bed of the couch when we first made my daughter's bed from the couch. My daughter was very grossed out with this. **The pool had clumps of black hair along the floor (not in the pool) but along the floor. White debris floating in the hot tub. ***Breakfast service!!! This was the straw that broke the camel's back at how poorly the staff treated us. We were at this hotel for two nights. The first morning we came in, I could not find cold water. The black woman working breakfast was so aggravated that I had asked for water. Made some smart-ass comment and acted like it was the end of the world to fill up the pitcher of ice with water. I was told to go to the workout room and grab a cup and fill up in there. I was in shock that they don't offer cold water at BREAKFAST. It was more the woman's reaction to me asking for water. It was as if I asked her to climb Mount Everest to get me WATER! We will not be returning to this hotel or ones like it. Thought I would let the world know about this place. Nicole Bollinger

This was the peek of excellence with very clean room, full breakfast, lovely pool & gym area all tucked away from the main road. Room was large with plenty of supplies and amenities for a longer stay. Perfect for a college visit. Will stay again.

Room was clean, comfortable, and prefect for our family of four. Pool was very good, but the hot tub could have been a bit warmer and not all of the jets were working. All of the staff we interacted were fantastic, we will definitely be back here for a getaway.

The rooms are as presented. The hotel has a second building. My room was dark and within earshot of a large generator. The breakfast did not include pancakes (as advertised), the ice maker in the fridge and several outlets didn’t work. The gym is very small. I would have appreciated the fireplace if I had stayed in the winter.

Enjoyed Easter weekend with our family of five. Room was spacious and clean.

Rooms were big. Amenities were nice.

Loved having the kitchen. Although not as clean as I would have liked. Rewashed most dishes before using. Lots of hair on the bed.

Very nice hotel, ideal for families. Spacious, well equipped kitchens and sitting areas in the rooms, a complimentary breakfast, and friendly staff. Only downside is the weekday breakfast ends at 9a, a little early if you’re on vacation.

Hotel is clean and in good condition, simple design nothing fancy. The rooms are spacious, kitchen fully equipped with large refrigerator and dishwasher and the suite configuration is very comfortable for longer stays. Staff was really nice and helpful with all our questions and requests. Location is about 10 minutes from Burlington and 30minutes from Waterbury by car. Only down side was the breakfast which was very basic and not well done, from the second day on we decided to stick to making our own in the room.
