Overall very nice set in picturesque grounds in a quiet village with pleasant rooms. My only criticism was the room floor felt a little unclean and could’ve done with a good hoovering. Otherwise all good. Food in pub was nice too.

We stayed for one night and felt welcome from the moment we arrived. The warm and friendly atmosphere immediately set the tone for a wonderful experience. The highlight was the stunning open log fire, which added such a cozy charm to our visit. The food was delicious, and the service was truly exceptional—attentive, friendly, and professional. We couldn't have asked for more. Thank you for making our stay so memorable; we look forward to visiting again!

Good stay
Checking-in was pretty straight forward, fast & easy. Room a little tiny but clean, tidy & comfortable. Great for a short stay. Bed is a little soft for me but for a night, I can cope.
I was pleasantly surprised to learn a table for dinner was booked for us.

Enjoyable overnight stay
Really enjoyed an overnight stay here, cute village and surrounded by lovely countryside. Service was very friendly, the pub has a lot of character. Food was ok

A stopover for a birthday event nearby. Everything was great. Rustic roof room, pleasant bar and excellent breakfast.

Creature comforts off the South Downs Way
Unlike a lot of pub rooms, this one had a decent size bathroom with an amazing shower.
Room quaint & comfortable.
Staff a friendly bunch, breakfast good especially liked being able to help myself to filter coffee.
