The pictures don't do it justice. I had planned a motorcycle trip through Canada but due to the horrendous weather in upper ND I decided to head south, not knowing where I'd wind up. Stumbled on Whitetail on the internet and decided to give it a shot, chose the cabin. Autumn was the hostess and greets you with a big smile and welcoming attitude, forgot her husband's name. The cabin was perfect, cozy, CLEAN, with a loft bed and futon on the ground floor. Electric heat if you get cool at night, outlets to charge your electronics. Comfy little porch with 2 chairs, a Weber mini kettle nestled along a brook, not a creek, or crick, I'm from Brooklyn so I'm bias. I live on the water so the sound of water has such a therapeutic effect. Barrel saunas, outdoor gathering places for groups and much more. The website explains the rest. Centrally located but far enough away from the mayhem of Sturgis. Burger restaurant a little walk down the road. Lynn's market for fresh meat/groceries etc. 2 miles down the road. This was the most relaxing, stress free spot I had so far on this trip. To sit on that porch and listen to the brook, watch the birds, enjoy the natural surroundings, breathe the clean air and just absorb the beauty of this little oasis was rejuvenating. The big mistake, as the title indicates, was I didn't make this a destination and not just a stopover. I tried staying another night, and maybe more, but I couldn't move my hotel, in Sidney, NE., a day forward.. I plan on circling back, after going west, and definitely will spend a couple of days here. The owners couldn't be nicer. VERY IMPORTANT, pay attention during Autumn's orientation, like I didn't, or you'll wind up missing where the bathrooms are. Try the Bock beer they sell at the office
