Suntide III Condominiums

We have been visitors to this facility for many years. Property maintenance has certainly slipped. Walkway water damage in ceiling not repaired. Cracks building exterior. Towel service has been eliminated. No refunds for any reason including hurricane. You have to purchase travel insurance on top of renting the condo. You used to receive credit in case of mandatory evacuation. Maintenance staff was responsive to reported problems in the condo. We will be looking for alternatives for next year.

I stayed in Condo 201. It is a beautiful 3 bedroom, 3 bath condo with a full size kitchen and family room overlooking the Gulf of Mexico. We loved spending time on the large balcony listening to and watching the waves roll in. The condo is light and airy with a beach theme. The beds are comfy and the kitchen and bar are well stocked. There is also a washer and dryer in the unit. Suntide III has two pools, two hot tubs, a sauna and tennis and basketball courts! The facility is well maintained and staff are helpful and friendly. I was able to truly relax and enjoy my stay while on the island!

Booked our room on May 10th for a June 30th-July 2nd stay. $1,077. We were going with our family who booked at the same time. Fast forward to a week or so before our trip and our family calls about a question and find out that even though they were charged, their suite was booked out to someone else. 24 hours later they get a new room, so we're good to go. I call about my suite and sure enough the same thing had happened. I was charged, but the room wasn't booked. I talked to either the owner or the manager who was oversees but helping to answer the phones. He apologized and even upgraded our suite, which was super nice. I noted that the upgraded suite didn't have enough beds, as we had booked one with two additional beds. He assured me that they'd have a rollout bed. We check in the day of around 10:30pm and see there's no additional beds, so we're short. I call the front desk and they said they don't have authorization to give us the bed and that she has to wait for the manager to confirm. I call back, it's now midnight and again I'm told she can't do anything right now but will call me as soon as she works it out. 30 minutes later, we're exhausted, and my husband goes down and asks if we can at least get some blankets, and we'll just sleep on the couch. Nope. They're locked away. Perfect. Next day, not a peep from them so again, two of us are sleeping on the couch, no blankets or extra pillows. Needless to say, it was a rough trip. Not worth the $1,077 and don't recommend staying here until they get more coordinated.

Terrible maintenance and upkeep on this condo and the hall leading to the door. The front desk staff is of no help, they tell you to call vacasa regarding anything relared to the condo. Ex: Hair in sheets. Stains on matress. Plaster falling off ceiling in master bedroom. Bathroom in spare room shower chipped and filthy. Garbage can in kitchen was gross and stunk. Master bedroom door will not close due to swelling. No master bath tub as advertised, due to remodel with walk in shower. Tile throughout condo is filthy, needs deep clean. Grout was black, but in non traffic areas it was cream. Stools at counter were all missing screws for seats. Kitchen cabinet doors literally falling off. Throw blankets were musty had to be washed prior to use. Closets in spare bedrooms are blocked by beds no easy use for guests. Towels were not equally placed in bathrooms all smelt musty as did the entire condo even after we would air it out. If we left and returned the smell returned. TV in spare bedroom did not work. Ceiling fan in spare room was so gross we didn't dare turn it on or a shower of dust would have fallen. The exercise room was locked with no access, but also did not contain the equipment shown on the website. There were so many other issues. When I notified vacasa about our concerns and sent photos they refunded $200. I would strongly discourage people from renting this unit. It's not worth the money charged at all. Also in December all activities are closed for the season. There were no notices of this when reviewing the chamber info.

We had a great time here in July of 2022 in Room 402. The location and view is awesome as you can see. It is mid/south island. The island is small so you can get around everywhere pretty easy. Plan on renting a golf cart for part of the time so you can drive around with up to 8 people with LED lights. It's a fun thing to do and relatively cheap. The slingshots cars are expensive. The parking here is terrible. You can only park inside in a blank space if there is one available. Other than that it is outside by the street or in the public beach access lot beside. The units are older and need some repairs such as slider door handles falling off, closet doors off track, light bulbs being out. There were not enough towels for the number of people we rented for an no spare toilet paper. We ended up going downstairs and they gave us a roll of paper towels to use?! Other than that we had a great time. There were fireworks we could see from the front door balcony on Friday night. It is a great little beach town. There is a small grocery store a block away.

We stayed in a unit here a few years ago and really enjoyed it. This time we stayed in unit 1008. To say it was rough was an understatement. The 3 bed/3 bath units in this property work really well for our group of 6 adults and 2 children. I believe they are not under new management of VACASA. Our unit was disgustingly worn. We first noticed only 2 handtowels and no washcloths for 3 bathrooms and 8 people. All communication is via text with VACASA. The on-site staff have no involvement other than checking you in. First, we were told we received the proper allotment. When pushed, we were told more would be delivered. While we received texts saying it was a pleasure to serve us, we never received the towels. The same response for getting proper wifi codes. While it was technically clean, the negatives included: A patio door that would not lock, heavy mirrored closet doors completely off the tracks, peeling paint in one shower, a 55 inch tv in one bedroom that stuck out in the walk area and also covered part of the closet. One toilet's tank cover did not fit...just balanced on top. Toilet paper holder missing in master. Refigerator-big rusted scratch on door, kick plate off and just sitting on side. I could go on, but you get the idea. The complex itself, is a good location even though it shows a lot of wear everywhere. It makes me wonder what has happened to all the other rentals in this building.
