Ideally situated for Warsash Maritime School and a short walk from pubs and restaurants in the small town. Very quiet location and the studio was well equipped. Previous reviews mention hot tub/pool etc but I was informed a couple of days before my stay that I would not have access to these facilities as I was not staying in the main house. This was not made clear either on trip advisor or on the website at the time of booking. On first inspection studio appeared spotlessly clean, with plenty of storage. I brought my own tea/coffee etc but it was nice to see small sachets provided, including individual milk portions. Would have loved to have rated this 5* but unfortunately could not owing to various reasons outlined below. Unfortunately when I came to bed I noticed hairs and small black bits on the base sheet. Fortunately, as well as a duvet there was a top sheet so I slept in between this and the duvet instead as I felt it was too late in the evening to raise this with anyone. This was the only cleanliness issue. The bathroom and kitchen were spotless. The television only really worked on BBC. The other channels either didn’t work or kept dropping out after a couple of seconds and the picture was intermittent. On Wednesday evening following firefighting training there was no hot water at all so I was forced to wash my hair in a cold shower. I assumed this was a one off as I hadn’t had any problems with the water since checking in on the Sunday evening. Unfortunately the same occurred on Thursday - this was after training at the pool but I couldn’t face another cold shower so decided to wait until the morning when I was due to leave. On Friday morning there was STILL no hot water. I stayed for 5 nights and had no hot water for 3 of those days. This is unacceptable. Having looked at previous reviews I could see that this issue has been raised by guests before but obviously not resolved. In a nutshell, the location is good, the studio is well equipped but it lacks basic requirements of a B&B, hot water and clean bedding. I would book here again if I could be assured that I would not encounter these issues again as other than that it was lovely.

We had the pleasure of having the house for the weekend. The house is incredible, rooms all beautiful and each unique. The pool and hot tub were bliss! Thank you so much for a very memorable and fun weekend! Not a thing We would change at all, it was amazing and the best memories made. Thank you!

Please note we did not stay in the main house We booked 3 of the 4 studios for 3 nights . THE GOOD The studios are in a great place, secure, well equipped and the contents are new and generally of a good quality THE BAD In all the studios : . The Wifi didn't work throughout our stay . The hot water broke down on 4 occasions - no showers, washing available etc Never fixed. We were given notification that it was due to people in more than 1 studio having a shower at the same time .. really ? . The oven door smashed (I'm guessing it was new, never used and faulty) All the above were notified to the contact person and although text replies were received initially, no remedies were put in place. We also had no text replies to our notifications towards the end of our stay - it felt like we had been disregarded/dropped. Since our stay (10 days ago) I have asked for some compensation. I initially got text replies with initial promises with deadlines, however, replies to my texts have now stopped. A very negative experience overall and I shall now actively discourage others from staying Please note I value fairness very highly and give lots of positive feedback on stays in hotels, B&Bs etc. This is only my second instance of ever giving negative feedback - but unfortunately it's justified and needs noting to ensure others who are thinking of booking get a true picture

Nice place for short break unfortunately studios don't have an access to pool or jacuzzi in big house. Few spiders hanging in the corners of the kitchen. It look like is clean enough place but if you look closer then you will change your mind. When you in bed on the ground floor you can hear people's talking next door or walking upstairs.

It was great. Could only get BBC and channel 9 on the TV.
