Overnight stay to meat friends for birthday italian restaurant booking on Lord St
Served our needs adequately but we did not use facilities available so cannot comment from a wider perspective

Went to enjoy a night of entertainment, a tribute to Grease/Dirty dancing,was a great night in a wonderful hotel, love the views over lake,the food was lovely and the rooms are comfortable and spacious, service was spot on,would stay again, great value for money 😁

The description said I’d be getting a city view but there was no view at all it was just a room with a window looking out onto the roof. me and my partner felt quite claustrophobic and at discomfort the room was very dated so I had no choice but to speak to reception to try and get it amended. Upon speaking to reception I was advised the only thing they could do was upgrade my room (which would be £20 extra ) as there was no other rooms available in the hotel. I felt like I had no choice but to upgrade as we could not stay in the room we were originally given. The room we was then upgraded to was the room we actually paid for and one that matched the descriptions on the website. I feel a bit conned out of our money because why did we pay extra to get the room we were supposed to have initially. We was very polite and the receptionist was not willing to help really. The initial room was 224 I then upgraded to room 413

Negative- Parking was different for different bookings. But while booking did not come across the option. Moreover the reception staff was very unhelpful and in a way even rude.
Positive- Many. Facilities inside room were great and rooms were clean. Location was perfect

Gorgeous hotel, our room was big with 2 large double beds.
Ideal location. Lovely restaurant and bar.

I asked in advance for a lake view as we were celebrating my husband’s 60th. When we arrived our room was upgraded and we got the view.
The room was lovely apart from a nasty crack in the sink. The toiletries provided smelt lovely.
The bar staff were attentive. We were slightly disappointed that most of the outdoor/garden terrace area was cordoned off & inaccessible.
Breakfast was good.
The lifts take an age and there was always someone waiting for them. If my husband didn’t have an injury it wouldn’t have been an issue as we would have used the steps.
I thought the £15 charge to park was a little excessive.

The room was excellent, beds very comfortable. Did not use the restaurant but used the bar and everywhere was clean, bright and modern. The staff are very helpful and polite.
