Super 8 by Wyndham Sturgis

The manager is a perfect host, friendly and genuinely interested in your having an excellent stay. Over the years I have stayed in many Super 8’s. This one is hands down the very best one. Great room, immaculately clean, highly recommended.

Air conditioning in the main lobby was non-existent, this is also where the continental breakfast was located and was quite uncomfortable. Breakfast was terrible, toaster and microwave were both broken and non-functional, and the powdered eggs were cold like they were just taken out of the refrigerator and plopped into the pan. There were 4 coffee canisters and all 4 were empty when I was attempting to get breakfast around 07:30. Check-in was difficult as the female desk clerk wore face covering and spoke very little and mostly in comprehendible English. There was also a small child that was loud and uncontrolled at the counter during the check in process making it even more difficult. The bed was similar to sleeping on a sheet of plywood, much too firm to be comfortable. Water pressure from the shower head was barely more than a trickle and my companion received cold water about mid-way through her morning shower. Room was clean and the A/C in the room worked well. Had to get the key-card reprogrammed in order to get back into the room on the second night. Not a place I would recommend.

Large rooms. Very friendly staff. Good breakfast and large seating area. Non smoking facility. Comfortable beds. Lots of parking and parking outside front doors for motorcycles under 24 hour security cameras. Easy access to any of the many rides around Sturgis and to downtown.

Had such a wonderful time and stay at this location! The Shaw Brothers were very accommodating and wonderful to getting to know. They were kind and passionate about what they were doing! They both have inspired me in so many ways, we will return for sure!!!

Everything was perfect. The manager was amazing, professional, helpful and friendly! Very clean, which is of utmost importance! Very quiet too!!

Was here for my husband’s motorcycle clubs annual run and the hotel was clean and the owner was friendly and found out he is new so we gave him some suggestions about breakfast as a traveler what we look for. If we are ever back through we will consider this hotel if we stay.

We had a big group 3 rooms total. Rooms we All had were smelly, bathroom was dirty. The girl that worked overnight until 9am was extremely rude. We went for breakfast which ended at 9, it was 8:20 she said she was not putting anything out anymore. It was too much trouble for her, because she was leaving at 9am. She said she had worked all night and did not want to do anything else. There was a lot of people coming down to breakfast they all had the same issues with her. She was extremely rude and lazy. She did not want to do her job. We had small children with us and needed at least more waffle mix. She said I am not putting anything else out. She should not work in this type of industry being that rude. According to the advertisement it said breakfast ends at 9am. She wanted us to take it up with the owners. Which she said were not there. Worst Super 8, (and we stayed at 7) super 8 hotels on our road trip.

The room had huge black stains all over the carpet, it smelled like urine! Also the bed was Lumpy and the lumps felt like rocks.

Room smelled moldy. A/c filter was smelly, floor was damp, pillows smelled musty and dirty. In the morning, toilet was overflowing. Front office stated maintenance was coming soon. We waited a few hours then left. Will never go back. Stay away!
