Arrived for a romantic getaway without the kids. Bed was comfortable, both Sherri and Kevin were great hosts, and breakfast was delicious! Another highlight was breakfast on the porch. Taproom in the basement was fun and the beer was good.

My wife Ellie and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Hopkins Ordinary Bed and Breakfast. It is such a lovingly restored property and our hosts - Sherri and Kevin – could not have been more welcoming upon our arrival. Located a short distance from the beautifully scenic Shenandoah National Park, Kevin – an avid hiker – provided us with a wonderfully detailed overview of trails and overlooks we should not miss on our visit which was so very helpful. The baked goods and breakfast were divine and we could not pass up the opportunity to enjoy an extra cup of coffee on the front porch swing while watching the small town of Sperryville wake up around us. As Bed and Breakfast owners ourselves, there is nothing we would change and wholeheartedly recommend a visit to the Hopkins Ordinary Bed and Breakfast, it is absolutely perfect. We will definitely be back!

Hopkins Ordinary was wonderful. Spotless clean, inside and out. Great communication. Super friendly and helpful innkeepers. Gave us recommendations and directions for a hike. Loved having a fireplace in the room - worked well. Beer was great too - a wide selection. We will book again!

Incredible establishment. The proprietors are accomodating and extremely professional. Having a brewery at the location is also a big plus especially for beer lovers like myself. The breakfast provided and the accoodations were impeccable. They also assisted me with coordinating a little surprise for my girlfriend for her birthday. Not only is this place a gem in and of itself, but the town and surrounding area are incredible. Do you like wine, there a numerous wineries in the area , to include four within a few miles. Are you into spirits? Copper Fox distillery is right down the road. Golf of interest to you, just go right down the street and play at a chip and putt course where all you need is your irons. The.local restaurants all.provided quality food. I highly recommend this place and look forward to staying again on the future.

Love this quaint B&B with a brewery in the basement! This is our 4th visit and it never disappoints. Sherri and Kevin are such gracious hosts, but efficient. They have to be! There's a lot to do, I can imagine. This charming B&B is very well-maintained. It's a historic building but it doesn't give old-house vibes. We enjoyed the porch that came with the Sage Room, a lovely, super clean room. We have stayed at the Rosemary and Thyme Rooms, both well-appointed as well. We like the Rosemary because you don't have to go up a flight of stairs. Breakfast is hearty and delicious, especially the Eggs Hopkins -- a great way to start the day, especially if you're going for a hike. And there are many hiking trails! Sherri always gives the best hiking advice. The beers they brew are a must-taste and must-enjoy! And the cookies in the room are a nice sweet touch.

My spouse and I stayed here two nights to hike Old Rag. We loved the Ale house, the breakfast and the excellent service. Weather was gorgeous so we spent a lot of time on the porch. Would definitely stay here again to enjoy the surrounding wineries and distilleries.

We stayed at Hopkins Ordinary the first night of our trip before we started hiking for 3 days on the Appalachian Trail. After driving for 9 hours from Georgia, Sherri and Kevin couldn’t have been more gracious. They showed us to our room, which was well appointed with a full bath, queen bed and balcony. Kevin offered us our choice of beer from his brewery, even tho it was officially closed. Everything we tasted was wonderful. Sherri recommended a delicious restaurant, about 15 minutes away. The food at the Blue Door was tasty, fresh and amazing wine choices. We drove back to sleep comfortably. Since we were leaving early the next morning for our hike, Sherri had prepared to-go breakfast for us. We would highly recommend this place to stay. We are disappointed we didn’t have more time to explore Sperrycille, and its shops, breweries and restaurants. But will definitely stay here again.

Having scored reservations at Three Blacksmiths, we didn't want to drive home afterwards so booked a room at Hopkins Ordinary. Upon checking in, we inquired about local shops and the trail to the River District. Sherry was very helpful and provided recommendations and directions even though most shops are closed on Wednesday. We had a lovely stroll on the riverside trail to the Apothecary and Copper Fox Distillery where we met the owners and enjoyed single malts by the scenic river. Our room was simple, clean and comfortable. Breakfast was yummy. Our stay was brief and very pleasant. We will definitely return to Hopkins Ordinary to explore more of the area.

Loved our stay at Hopkins Ordinary Bed and Breakfast! Large charming room. The large clawfoot tub! And the covered porch. I love a porch! Our room was clean, quiet, and comfortable. Sherri made sure we had everything we needed. And the breakfasts were fantastic! The B&B was an easy drive from the Shenandoah National Park that we were visiting. Would definitely return.
