Habe mit Freunden eine Fahrradtour in Speyer gemacht. Lage vom Hotel gut, Frühstück gut. Am Tag der Abreise (Sonntag) habe ich mein Zimmer verlassen, um zu frühstücken. Das Schild "Bitte nicht stören" wurde rausgehängt. Checkout war um 11.00 Uhr. Als ich nach dem Frühstück, um 10.20 Uhr, zum Zimmer ging, standen meine Sachen, die ich noch nicht eingepackt hatte, vor der Tür. Im Zimmer waren meine bereitgelegten Medikamente nicht mehr vorhanden. Das Zimmer war schon für den nächsten Gast vorbereitet. Meinem Freund im gleichen Gebäude ist das Gleiche passiert, also kein Einzelfall. Bei der Beschwerde an der Reception hat man sich mehrmals entschuldigt, die Sache zu prüfen und sich umgehend mit mir in Verbindung zu setzen. Meine E-Mail Adresse wurde hinterlegt. Auch vier Tage nach Abreise hat sich das Hotel noch nicht gemeldet. Ich überlege jetzt rechtliche Schritte.

Das Hotel befindet sich in einer ehemaligen Kaserne der französischen Streitkräfte. Es ist Grund-komfortabel, das Frühstücksbuffet gut, der Service ebenfalls. Das Preisleistungsverhältnis ist in Ordnung bei 72,00 EUR pro Nacht pro Einzelzimmer inklusive Frühstück und Parken.

We booked the hotel at short notice. The price was okay but we noticed it shot up after we'd booked. Conveniently located at the Technik-Museum and within a few minutes drive or (better) 15 minute walk to the centre of Speyer (or 4 minute walk and short bus ride). Free parking. Rooms clean and functional - you are obviously in a hotel room. Only downside was no aircon so slept with fully open window - noise not an issue and we were on first floor. Decent breakfast so all in all recommended for a simple stay.

Bei der Ankunft erhielten wir einen Meldeschein mit einer komplett falschen Adresse in der Schweiz. Nach entsprechendem Hinweis und handschriftlicher Korrektur nutzte die Rezeptionistin zunächst einen anderen - somit ebenfalls falschen - Meldeschein, um uns einzuchecken. Nachdem auch das geklärt war, bekamen wir unser Zimmer, welches insgesamt sehr klein, aber sauber und für eine Nacht völlig ausreichend war. Am nächsten Morgen war die Heizung ausgefallen, was dazu führte, dass es kein warmes Wasser gab - somit kalt geduscht. Mein Hinweis an der Rezeption wurde mit „Wissen wir schon … - sorry“ beantwortet. Leider hatte das Hotel in unserem Gebäude keinen Aufzug und das Zimmer auch keine Klimaanlage. Frühstück war ausreichend und es hat uns an nichts gefehlt, so dass wir direkt mit unserem Besuch im Technik-Museum starten konnten. Die Lage des Hotels direkt am Technik-Museum ist dafür optimal und auch den Dom mit Innenstadt erreicht man zu Fuß in max. 10 Minuten.

Excellent location right next to the Technic Museum and 10 minutes walk to city centre. Very friendly and helpful staff. Quiet and comfortable. Excellent buffet breakfast. Very reasonable rates and free parking.
