Residence Inn Springfield Old Keene Mill

We were traveling to go to a wedding. When we arrived at night there was a center court in front that was blocked by cars parking in no parking area. I could barely get my car through the area. Note: This is where u want to drop off your stuff as the only parking is in a detached parking garage. The hotel staff was pleasant, we checked in, and went up to our room in a speedy elevator. The hotel looked as if it had been updated and was in good shape. Our room was a very well appointed “efficiency “ with bed, couch, tv, table, fridge, stove, microwave, etc. The bathroom was spotless. The ac/heater system was very good. They use higher quality system than other hotels. The bed was very comfortable and we had a great nights sleep. The breakfast they serve was fresh and very good as well. They have a later checkout time than other hotels. Lots of TV options. The only thing they didn’t have is a pool. There is also plenty of area shopping spots within walking distance. I would highly recommend this hotel.

The only place I like to stay when I come to town. I travel often and whenever I’m in the Washington DC Virginia area I always come to this same hotel because the customer service the people the energy the atmosphere is absolutely amazing. But in particular the bartender/chef because she cooks and tends bar is one of a kind. Rahel is her name and she’s been there since I visited a few years ago. She goes out of her way to make everyone feel appreciated and welcomed. And this woman ALWAYS have a smile on her face literally. So I just wanted to give a shout-out to Her for the amazing work, and even though she didn’t know I was a celebrity, she still treated me with the upmost attention which I love!! The staff was great but the initial room we stayed in had the AC broken and when I asked them to look at it they just turned it off. We came back and it was almost 80 degrees in the room. They moved us to another room and it smelled like straight chemicals so we had to move back to the first room and had to just deal with the temperature.

Residence Inn in Springfield Old Keene Mill Road was a very good place for an extended 2 week business trip. Suites are nice and comfortable. Suite has a decent enough kitchen for when you feel like saving some per-diem money by cooking for yourself. What makes me give this place a 5 star review is the humble hotel bar area. Not huge, and to be honest I didn't even go down there until the second half of my trip. Finally decided to head down there because I didn't feel like cooking. The bar menu has a good selection and is surprisingly reasonably priced (see pic). Limited tap list, but that's to be expected for a hotel. For me all I needed was the good IPA option they had available. The happy hour from 5-7 is an even better deal with a few bucks off the usual prices. What ties it all together is the bartender Rahel. I didn't talk to her much due to always just unwinding while watching a show on my tablet, but she was very friendly and pleasant when we did chat a bit. You could tell she knew what the other long term visitors were drinking as she was always ready with another round. I was pleasantly surprised when she mentioned that she is also responsible for preparing the food! Long business trips are always draining so it was nice to have some idle chit chat with a friendly face. In the end most hotels are much like the others, so it's the small things like exceptionally good service which will ultimately make me recommend a place to other business travelers.

Check-in was fast and efficient! The staff were pleasant and professional. We had an accessible room. It was clean and comfortable! They offered free breakfast, which was hot and delicious! We only stayed the weekend, but we had no issues at all. We will definitely stay here again when we visit family.

First time staying at this hotel and it will be my last time. Unfortunately, my experience was far from satisfactory. From cleanliness issues to a distressing elevator incident, my stay was marred by multiple disappointments. Upon arrival, the initial room assigned to me was clearly not properly cleaned. There were hairs in places around the room, including on the bed, which immediately raised concerns about hygiene standards. The on-duty manager reassigned me and was apologetic. I was hopeful for an improvement, but the second room assigned to me had a stain resembling body fluids on the bed skirt. Despite promptly notifying the staff about these cleanliness concern, it wasn't until the third day, after showing them a picture of the stain did they take any action. Making matters worse, I found myself trapped in one of the elevators for over an hour. This incident not only caused inconvenience but also raised serious safety concerns regarding the maintenance and functionality of the hotel's facilities. Throughout the remainder of my stay, there was only one elevator working and I stayed off the elevator after this incident. I hope these issues have been addressed promptly to prevent similar experiences for future guests.
