This beautiful building is quaint, yet modern. It is located in the heart of the city…within walking distance of sights, sounds, and restaurants. The staff is friendly and helpful. A wonderful and safe place to stay!

Good Hotel, but too much noise from the room up mine (2 nights only).
Breakfast is cheap and I never took it over 5 days.

Murray’s Premises was a perfect fit for our visit to St. John’s NL. We were on our way to the interior of Newfoundland so an over night stay was in our plans. The hotel is well located in downtown St. John’s just off of the dock. It backs on to the main tourist streets Water street. The hotel rooms were excellent. Set in the historic building. We did have air conditioning which we were happy to have with the high temperatures we experienced. There isn’t a restaurant in the building but there are several choices near by.

We’ve stayed at this hotel over a dozen times and we’ve always had a good experience. Beautiful view, clean rooms and common areas, short walk to a variety of shopping and restaurants. Staff are very friendly, continental breakfast is great and parking is free. We will be back!

We were rather disappointed that our room was on the 4th floor and the elevator only goes to the 3rd floor. My wife has mobility issues and climbing 2 flights of stairs was uncomfortable and inconvenient. Also, the room we had (404) had a sloping roof and both myself and my wife are over 6 feet tall, making half the room inaccessible for us. The "fireplace" in the room did not work which we were looking forward to as it was our anniversary.

Loved the four day stay there. The location was perfect, just around the corner from all the pubs and the music. I had a large room, very clean, with a couple of comfy chairs aimed toward the large screen TV, with a huge bathroom with step in shower. I really appreciated being able to walk out to everything (with flat ground!!). Other than one grumpy night staff person, the others were great, giving me good instructions of how to get around, and calling taxis when I wanted them. Quite adequate for a continental breakfast. Thumbs up.

Love the overall aesthetic of this hotel but feel it could be spruced up…the bed and pillows need an upgrade (Room 304), door colour is not pleasant, tired looking chairs, tables…loved how spacious the room is
