Really enjoy the weekend there with my family.It was so peaceful and quite and love the fact that it is so close to shops and has a nice swimming pool.Will definitely make use of Stokkiesdraai quite often to just unwind and have a nice family outing

Stayed at Stokkiesdraai for 3 nights with a friend and my son. When we arrived, we were the only people staying in the whole place. The manager Debbie seems friendly but is certainly lacking in customer relations. At no point were we told that there are no towels at all - my friend had to go buy one - not indicated on the booking page or in any email correspondence. Office opening and closing times are not clear, but we were told to check out STRICTLY before 9am on the Sunday we were checking out. I informed the manager of our intention to leave early on Sunday for the long drive back to Jhb. When we tried to check out on the Sunday morning at 7 am - I was yelled at and spoken to abusively by the manager for waking her up and "demanding" my cash deposit. At no point was I told that the office opens at 8am. So a 1-hour window to check out - seems a bit ridiculous. The rooms are clean, and the cleaning team does a reasonable job, but does not make the beds at all? All the items and fixtures are old and well used, but serviceable for the price. the checklist of items has prices attached, but no-one goes through the items with you on arrival or departure - so it seems redundant. The TV never worked the entire time we were there - apparently there is an issue with the new owners according to the manager. On investigating reviews online - the new owners have had an issue for several years? It is centrally located , cheap and clean, but the rude manager is the main reason why I will not go back or recommend to anyone.

Sad to say, zero stars if I could. The male receptionist at this place is a mess. He is utterly rude and unprofessional over the phone. He rushed us from the second we phoned, because his phone's battery is dying. He then left his phone on for a whole 20 minutes, not knowing we could hear a whole conversation between him and his colleague blatantly discussing and slandering me and the questions I asked to possibly support you over the holidays. Not only using swear words towards me and criticizing the questions I asked, namely: What type of people stay there? Wanting to know if it's students, youngsters only or a bit of all as it is matric vacation time. He responded very sarcastically "How should I know weather they are dronkgatte or even have teeth in their mouths?" Purely disgusting! And other questions: How far is the beach from the unit? Is fishing from the beach allowed? Will the water and power issue they currently have, be resolved when we get there? As he mentioned that the water and power had already been off for 3 days, and is still off. He also discussed people staying there at the moment, using their names and slandering them. They lost 9 possible clients and support. This service is disgusting and this man should not be allowed to operate within the tourism industry. This is the first point of communication for your lodge and he is costing you money and clients

The place as absolutely lovely. It is well furnished self catering accommodation and has all the essential resources that a person could need. It is also also in a great area surrounded by restaurants.

Overall, my stay at Stokkiesdraai exceeded my expectations, and I wanted to take a moment to express my gratitude. Your establishment has created a memorable and joyful experience that we will cherish for years to come. Thank you to Debbie and her entire team for your dedication to providing exceptional service. I look forward to the opportunity to return in the future and will certainly recommend Stokkiesdraai to friends and family.

We stayed for one night. Personnel very friendly and accommodating, but the furniture seems to come out of Noah's ark. I don't think this place has seen any upgrades for the past 25 years. We paid an affordable rate, but we were very disappointed in what the flat looked like. With the power outage combined with load shedding we had no water.
