Nous avons réservé 2 nuits dans cet hôtel idéalement placé à 10-15 minutes de Saint Peter Port. L'hôtel est bien tenu, la chambre confortable et le restaurant plutôt bon. La personne de l'accueil était très sympa à notre arrivée. Les autres membres du personnel l'ont été moins. Ils ne sont pas très indulgent avec les hôtes qui leur parlent pourtant dans leur langue (je ne suis pas bilingue mais plutôt très bon), ils font répéter les phrases comme s'ils n'avaient pas compris. Nous avons eu un check-out bizarre avec une personne (le propriétaire) qui a compté et recompté notre note sans nous expliquer ce qu'il se passait. Alors que nous avions déjà réglé la facture, il a encore recompté et nous a demandé si on avait pas pris des boissons. Un sentiment de suspicion assez désagréable. Il faut savoir aussi que beaucoup de locaux viennent diner à cet hôtel et que le parking est souvent plein le soir.

Lovely hotel in nice, quiet surroundings. The style of decor is colonial/eclectic and the accommodation is very clean. Staff are friendly and helpful. Our room was on the ground floor near the pool and was spacious and pleasant. The walls/insulation is not good though and you can hear conversations from neighbours and footsteps from above - or in our case someone with hobnail boots jumping from one side of the room to the other! We didnt let this bother us though and generally got good sleep overall. Breakfast was cereal, pastries, yoghurt and toast with cooked items available for extra cost (we booked through booking so only continental was included which was fine). We didnt eat or drink in the hotel but the restaurant was full most nights. Apparently the home made pizzas are well known locally. All in all a lovely stay and I would return. My only criticism apart from the sound proofing was no fridge in the room which would have been helpful.

Clean and friendly. Breakfast was not included in the price of a room. Food in the dining room was nothing special. Nice walks close by but need a taxi to get to St Peterport or the airport.

We went to Les Douvres for lunch. The staff were very welcoming and attentive. The menu choices were reasonable. The food was very well presented and excellent. Service was very good. We will certainly go again and recommend it to our friends.

We stayed here with our 2 children age 9 and 6. The room was spacious but could possibly do will a little updating, but that did not spoil our stay. The staff are fabulous! Nothing was too much trouble and everything was down with a smile. Breakfast was lovely and relaxed. The restaurants food was great and the atmosphere in the bar was super. We are moving to Guernsey in the new year and look forward to visiting Les Douvres once again.

What a wonderful hotel! Quirky, peaceful,clean,comfy beds and above all, brilliant staff. The manager, Michael is just amazing. Nothing is too much trouble. It is a very busy hotel, particularly in the evenings, but hey, the food is good so to be expected! Service is quick, but does that matter if you're out for an evening? Fascinating people watching! The gardens and pool area are lovely and the pool is warm too! Can't praise this place too highly and would certainly stay again, thank you Michael and team xx
