The hotel is very clean, very hot outdoor swimming pool. The buffet is very repetitive and not terrible. It is better to eat at the map or outside. The hapy hours is not valid for the buffet. Incredible anyway. Otherwise excellent quality price and cheap drinks.

New structure, nothing to complain about. Service: EMPTY bar fridge, not even a bottle of water, non-existent bathroom courtesy kit ☹️ slippers not to mention. If they remain with this miserable policy, after having taken a Superior Sea View Room and paid a premium, I would expect some more service. Excellent breakfast.

It was so good that I thought it was a pity that I only stayed for one night. The Mediterranean restaurant located inside the resort was not very tasty, but the breakfast was very good. It was an English breakfast buffet (sausage, bacon, eggs, etc.), and there was also a little Turkish breakfast menu (ham, cheese, tomato, cucumber). The staff were friendly and the amenities were good~ It's nice to see nearby Bujiba.

I spent the first week in January here and went on to book three more weeks. There were a few problems in the second week but this was quickly sorted out by Trip.com and I enjoyed my stay. Breakfast was fantastic. The junior suite was lovely with views of the city and the sea. The spa and pool section downstairs was a dream to use each time. A bus stop is right beside the hotel for getting out. Malta is easy to navigate once you get your bus pass at a shop up the road virtually opposite the hotel. The Hotel restaurant is great. Some places around the hotel also serve good food. Try the sandwiches at the “homemade” shop. The salmon salad and the salmon wrap are delicious. Mellieha is the northernmost part of Malta so it takes time getting to other places. Helpful to plan journeys with the bus schedule online if using public transport.

Wonderful hotel/resort, friendly staff members always here to assist always smiling, making it a very positive place to be and to feel good vibes. 2 restaurants, delicious food, variety of food for every taste. The best thing is the AMAZING SEA VIEW 🌊 Mini bar drinks complimentary woohoo 😀

We recently returned to the Paradise Bay resort a year on from getting married there on the beach outside the Porto Lounge. The hotel is amazing, whatever room you have you are going to have a view either of Paradise bay with its beach and constant coming and goings of yachts and speed boats, people swimming in the clear blue waters or on the other side, looking out over the south Comino straight with all its water traffic and the ferry port with the constant activity of the ferries going over to Gozo. The rooms are spacious, comfortable, well equipped with tea/coffee making facilities, iron and ironing board, hair dryer, fridge and TV, although English channels are few and far between, and are well cleaned everyday. It may not be to everyone’s choice as it is a little isolated but the excellent bus service from right outside the door can take you wherever you want to be around this beautiful island and buses run every few minutes and for just 2 euros you can go to the next stop or the other end of the island, can’t fault them. The hotel has a choice of four swimming pools, three outdoor and one indoor, including a small jacuzzi, all are well maintained, clean and certainly no shortage of sun loungers. The inside public areas are clean and comfortable and the restaurant the same, however, although the quality of the food served in the restaurant is good, choices can be a little limited and sometimes we found the table turnaround was a bit chaotic, with people wandering around looking for a clean prepared table, that said we never had to wait too long and enjoyed everything we did have to eat. All in all we would thoroughly recommend the Paradise Bay resort to anyone and we will certainly be returning there in the future.

Starting with the information - we stayed at So City as a young couple (who arent particularly into nightclubs/bars) to see Matla for the first time over a week. I have given this a 'benefit-of-the-doubt' rating due to the hotel being incredibly new. We picked So City Hotel because of the value, it was incredibly well priced. I'd imagine this is a strategy due to it being so new but it was certainly well worth the price we paid. On to the hotel as a whole - I feel this is definitely aimed toward capturing people coming to Malta for some night life. Its positioned so that no more than 10 seconds from leaving the lobby, you can be in a bar, and their are some nice bars surrounding. That said, we werent there for that - but this location also meant that finding an evening meal, or a quick early night drink was incredibly easy. Exploring the island was also very easy from here, Valletta was a very short journey, and as we had opted to rent a car, there was a carpark about 5 minutes walk away (Pengardens) which is reasonably priced for over night parking, and we never struggled for a space. The room was very comfortable, and the mattress was perfect and bedding very soft and comfortable. Our upgraded room was also incredibly spacious. The theming is a nice touch and makes the room a bit more characterful and individual. Staying on the 7th floor, there was minimal noise at night, altough id be concerned if we needed to keep the window open.... The black out curtains were also amazing for keep the room dark for a little bit of extra sleep. Constructive criticism for the room would be: The shower tempurture is difficult - the hottest setting is insanely hot (my other half loves hot showers but this was too much for her also) and it wouldnt go cold, just cooler, it also seemed to get colder through out the shower and you found yourself adjusting. There is not a lot of storage at all for longer stays. This is perhaps a by product of it feeling aimed towards 'nightlifers' who might stop 3 nights or so. I would perhaps ask reception for additional hangers if you have plenty of clothes for a longer stay. The mini fridge, altough useful, is not big enough to put larger water bottles in, which can be annoying. The aircon unit is situated in a place which means it blows directly at the bed. I tried to play with the control but there was no way to adjust it that I could find. Im trying to cool the room, not refridgerate myself. The timer on the aircon also didnt seem to work, so setting it the blow for 30 mins whilst i went to sleep just didnt seem to work. The TV is not a full smartTV which is a shame. Just channels and an internet browser, which are never nice to navigate around.... On to other notes: Breakfast is just what you need. Its not an all out buffett where there is everything you could dream of, but there is more than enough and a few items cycle so you can expect a slightly different breakfast each morning. My holiday travel friend Barbra & I went to Malta, Haz-zebbug. We returned home yesterday. I can't recommend our accommodation highly enough. Owner Lynn has been amazing, she goes above & beyond to ensure her guests have the very best experience. The staff are delightful, happy, smiley & very helpful. The B&B has 14 very clean, stylish rooms, 2 of which have terraces & jacuzzi's. All rooms are air-conditioned a must as the 1st week we stayed the temperatures were very high. The beds are so comfortable. Wonderful Al-fresco fresh breakfast selection every day & even a fair sized pool to cool off in. We couldn't have asked for a better location, central to most places you would want to visit. Easy bus access & bolt taxi's. Local beaches, shops & sights to see. Very safe & friendly for solo travelers. I honestly cannot thank B&B de-Rohan enough from our welcome to our departure, we will most definately return & continue to praise our experience. You will not be disappointed!

The location is convenient with restaurants and plenty of buses nearby but it's also a quite poor and ugly neigbourhood. It seems to be in the process of being gentrified with lot's of construction in the quarter but there are also many abandoned and broken buildings around. Generally it feels a bit sketchy. The Hotel itself is a new construction, designed well and very clean. My biggest complaint however is the service and staff. Unfortunately I was given one of the worst rooms, where the balcony was facing a wall, so there was almost no daylight in the room. When enquiring if a room change is possible, the receptionist blantly lied to my face and said they were fully booked. When I checked online for the same dates and room category, there was still plenty available, even in higher categories. So instead of trying to upsell me or finding another solution to satisfy me as a customer, they treated me like cattle.

We returned from beautiful Gozo last night, we stayed at Hotel Calypso in Marsalforn (our 6th stay at this lovely hotel). As always, the staff were very welcoming, kind and extremely helpful especially Alexandra, front of house Manager, Lolly and Louise. We stayed in room 212, sea view room with private balcony. The rooms are spotlessly clean, housekeeping everyday, comfy beds, rooms have air con and ceiling fan, coffee/tea making and a very welcome fridge. The roof top pool area is great, clean and plenty of sun loungers available. The location of this hotel is fabulous, bars and restaurants close by, great ice-cream kiosk just outside and amazing views of the bay, sea and little beach. We would highly recommend Hotel Calypso to anyone looking for a quiet relaxing holiday in a very friendly environment. Already looking forward to our next stay.
