Hotels near Super auto crash, St. Paul＇s Bay

I traveled to Malta alone and chose the Primera Hotel as one of the cheapest options in Malta. In principle, the travel guide says that Valletta is the best place to stay, but I would not agree with this, as it is an hour from St. Paul's Bay to Valletta, an hour to the ferry to Gozo and half an hour to Rabat/Mdina. Excursions such as to the Blue Grotto only go via Valletta and it takes 2 hours by bus. However, you can combine this with a travel route via Valletta or as the last spot before the airport. The hotel was clean, the rooms were more than adequately equipped and for €8 you could book breakfast on site, which was a bit English but had something for everyone. The only thing that could be difficult is being able to eat more than just fruit and bread as a vegan.

New structure, nothing to complain about. Service: EMPTY bar fridge, not even a bottle of water, non-existent bathroom courtesy kit ☹️ slippers not to mention. If they remain with this miserable policy, after having taken a Superior Sea View Room and paid a premium, I would expect some more service. Excellent breakfast.

Reception staff went above and beyond following my recent holiday when I had to wait over 24 hours for my suitcase to be sent from Manchester. They provided essentials and repeatedly phoned the airport for me to chase my case. The apartment was large and very clean with all the essentials for self catering. The pool was comfortable to use, on my own, not always the case, always available sun beds nice temperature and pleasant surroundings

It was so good that I thought it was a pity that I only stayed for one night. The Mediterranean restaurant located inside the resort was not very tasty, but the breakfast was very good. It was an English breakfast buffet (sausage, bacon, eggs, etc.), and there was also a little Turkish breakfast menu (ham, cheese, tomato, cucumber). The staff were friendly and the amenities were good~ It's nice to see nearby Bujiba.

Me and my husband were guests of Solana hotel and Spa for the past week and i have to say that our experience was incredible. Regarding accommodation we had a decent room which was always properly cleaned, the only problem that we faced was the thin walls from which we could hear everything going from other rooms. Regarding the food and beverage department, we had various of restaurants to choose such as the Tosca, Prickly Pear, Belini and Top Deck, where we always had a nice dining experience served by polite and kind staff, however a person who left us an impeccable impression was Sara. She always greeted us with a smile, made us amazing cocktails which shows that she is quite good at her job, we enjoyed talking to her. Overall we are satisfied with our stay in the hotel, and would definitely recommend it to others!!!

Starting with the information - we stayed at So City as a young couple (who arent particularly into nightclubs/bars) to see Matla for the first time over a week. I have given this a 'benefit-of-the-doubt' rating due to the hotel being incredibly new. We picked So City Hotel because of the value, it was incredibly well priced. I'd imagine this is a strategy due to it being so new but it was certainly well worth the price we paid. On to the hotel as a whole - I feel this is definitely aimed toward capturing people coming to Malta for some night life. Its positioned so that no more than 10 seconds from leaving the lobby, you can be in a bar, and their are some nice bars surrounding. That said, we werent there for that - but this location also meant that finding an evening meal, or a quick early night drink was incredibly easy. Exploring the island was also very easy from here, Valletta was a very short journey, and as we had opted to rent a car, there was a carpark about 5 minutes walk away (Pengardens) which is reasonably priced for over night parking, and we never struggled for a space. The room was very comfortable, and the mattress was perfect and bedding very soft and comfortable. Our upgraded room was also incredibly spacious. The theming is a nice touch and makes the room a bit more characterful and individual. Staying on the 7th floor, there was minimal noise at night, altough id be concerned if we needed to keep the window open.... The black out curtains were also amazing for keep the room dark for a little bit of extra sleep. Constructive criticism for the room would be: The shower tempurture is difficult - the hottest setting is insanely hot (my other half loves hot showers but this was too much for her also) and it wouldnt go cold, just cooler, it also seemed to get colder through out the shower and you found yourself adjusting. There is not a lot of storage at all for longer stays. This is perhaps a by product of it feeling aimed towards 'nightlifers' who might stop 3 nights or so. I would perhaps ask reception for additional hangers if you have plenty of clothes for a longer stay. The mini fridge, altough useful, is not big enough to put larger water bottles in, which can be annoying. The aircon unit is situated in a place which means it blows directly at the bed. I tried to play with the control but there was no way to adjust it that I could find. Im trying to cool the room, not refridgerate myself. The timer on the aircon also didnt seem to work, so setting it the blow for 30 mins whilst i went to sleep just didnt seem to work. The TV is not a full smartTV which is a shame. Just channels and an internet browser, which are never nice to navigate around.... On to other notes: Breakfast is just what you need. Its not an all out buffett where there is everything you could dream of, but there is more than enough and a few items cycle so you can expect a slightly different breakfast each morning. Excellent staff / service, couldn’t have asked for more. Food: breakfast and pool bar menu was amazing! We ate lunch here every day because it was great. Room was great - I would pay extra for a room with a balcony though otherwise you don’t have a proper window with a view of the outside world. Would stay here again for the roof top pool - always a sunbed available! Air con was 10/10 all over the hotel which is something I find to be lacking in other hotels. 10/10 location for the beach, the bay, shopping or the night club *****.

We recently returned to the Paradise Bay resort a year on from getting married there on the beach outside the Porto Lounge. The hotel is amazing, whatever room you have you are going to have a view either of Paradise bay with its beach and constant coming and goings of yachts and speed boats, people swimming in the clear blue waters or on the other side, looking out over the south Comino straight with all its water traffic and the ferry port with the constant activity of the ferries going over to Gozo. The rooms are spacious, comfortable, well equipped with tea/coffee making facilities, iron and ironing board, hair dryer, fridge and TV, although English channels are few and far between, and are well cleaned everyday. It may not be to everyone’s choice as it is a little isolated but the excellent bus service from right outside the door can take you wherever you want to be around this beautiful island and buses run every few minutes and for just 2 euros you can go to the next stop or the other end of the island, can’t fault them. The hotel has a choice of four swimming pools, three outdoor and one indoor, including a small jacuzzi, all are well maintained, clean and certainly no shortage of sun loungers. The inside public areas are clean and comfortable and the restaurant the same, however, although the quality of the food served in the restaurant is good, choices can be a little limited and sometimes we found the table turnaround was a bit chaotic, with people wandering around looking for a clean prepared table, that said we never had to wait too long and enjoyed everything we did have to eat. All in all we would thoroughly recommend the Paradise Bay resort to anyone and we will certainly be returning there in the future.

Inhawi is chock-full of digital nomads and students; what this means is that there are a LOT of people staying here long-term, which in turn means that it has a kind of small community / uni atmosphere. The hostel itself is in a brilliant location; the building is beautiful, with big open spaces. It's also super clean and has a really nice kitchen with three (very full!) refrigerators where guests can store food. I would *very* highly recommend getting a room upstairs, as the kitchen / common area gets quite boisterous at night, with people staying up and drinking until the wee hours of the morning. Due to the acoustics, rooms which are right off of the common area are inundated with the laughter and talking of late-night partiers. With a friendly staff, great complimentary breakfast, and clean rooms (and smart layout), I'd stay here again... I would just choose a room which would allow for better sleep.
