Myself and my partner had a wonderful experience at Best Western Premier. The staff are exceptionally obliging and extremely friendly. The gentlemen working at the rooftop poolside bar couldn’t be more helpful when ordering food and drinks. We also had great fun playing pool in the evenings and talking to Brendan about rugby at the bar. We were made to feel very welcome throughout our stay and would have no issues in recommending this hotel to friends and family. Malta has been lovely and we look forward to visiting again soon!

We have been here for almost two weeks. Location is fairly close to the center and beach. It is an 18 plus hotel, which means that there are a lot of young people under 25. Our room was fine. Only the sink is very small and low. For the rest breakfast was good, but aimed at English people. Furthermore a lot of guests from England. It is a party hotel. We are not party people. So every day to the beach. Staff is very helpfull.

Their staff doesn’t comes regularly. One day i had to clean my bin bag and put it outside by myself.This hotel they procided lot of amenities but you have to give them some deposit to get it that's such lame part.but location was good. You can see qawra beach just within 5 min walk. I would say it does worth your money

Really lovely hotel. Clean. Great location. Close enough to all the great attractions and shops but far enough from all the noise so you still get a great night's sleep. Fantastic service from everyone at Hyatt from the receptionists (Ben and I didn't get the name of the lady who worked with him but I think it may have been Laura?) to the doorman Hoque. Starting with the information - we stayed at So City as a young couple (who arent particularly into nightclubs/bars) to see Matla for the first time over a week. I have given this a 'benefit-of-the-doubt' rating due to the hotel being incredibly new. We picked So City Hotel because of the value, it was incredibly well priced. I'd imagine this is a strategy due to it being so new but it was certainly well worth the price we paid. On to the hotel as a whole - I feel this is definitely aimed toward capturing people coming to Malta for some night life. Its positioned so that no more than 10 seconds from leaving the lobby, you can be in a bar, and their are some nice bars surrounding. That said, we werent there for that - but this location also meant that finding an evening meal, or a quick early night drink was incredibly easy. Exploring the island was also very easy from here, Valletta was a very short journey, and as we had opted to rent a car, there was a carpark about 5 minutes walk away (Pengardens) which is reasonably priced for over night parking, and we never struggled for a space. The room was very comfortable, and the mattress was perfect and bedding very soft and comfortable. Our upgraded room was also incredibly spacious. The theming is a nice touch and makes the room a bit more characterful and individual. Staying on the 7th floor, there was minimal noise at night, altough id be concerned if we needed to keep the window open.... The black out curtains were also amazing for keep the room dark for a little bit of extra sleep. Constructive criticism for the room would be: The shower tempurture is difficult - the hottest setting is insanely hot (my other half loves hot showers but this was too much for her also) and it wouldnt go cold, just cooler, it also seemed to get colder through out the shower and you found yourself adjusting. There is not a lot of storage at all for longer stays. This is perhaps a by product of it feeling aimed towards 'nightlifers' who might stop 3 nights or so. I would perhaps ask reception for additional hangers if you have plenty of clothes for a longer stay. The mini fridge, altough useful, is not big enough to put larger water bottles in, which can be annoying. The aircon unit is situated in a place which means it blows directly at the bed. I tried to play with the control but there was no way to adjust it that I could find. Im trying to cool the room, not refridgerate myself. The timer on the aircon also didnt seem to work, so setting it the blow for 30 mins whilst i went to sleep just didnt seem to work. The TV is not a full smartTV which is a shame. Just channels and an internet browser, which are never nice to navigate around.... On to other notes: Breakfast is just what you need. Its not an all out buffett where there is everything you could dream of, but there is more than enough and a few items cycle so you can expect a slightly different breakfast each morning. We arrived to find that we did not have a room. We were staying for 2 weeks as we were getting married. Easy jet had cancelled our flight from Gatwick. I informed the hotel of our change of date which I had on my phone. Can you imagine how we felt? We also had 8 rooms booked for family. After half an hour of total stressed they found our booking under Kevin Kevin!! The hotel receptionist was going to provide some Prosecco and was also asked to book 3 taxis for my self and bridesmaids on Saturday 1st October, I asked several times if he had done this he assured me that everything was booked and not to worry. Saturday came no taxis and no Prosecco. Had to book ourselves, meaning we were late for my wedding. The hotel itself is dirty, I found dried blood and holes on supposedly clean sheets, mattress was threadbear. The rooms were swept once in the time we spent here. New staff are always being trained, obviously they don’t keep them very long. The showers are small dirty and bathroom tiny. Hardly any storage facilities. You have to pay to hire a fridge. There are no facilities to iron clothes and the hairdryer smells of burning when you use. The air conditioner in the room causes everyone to have sore throats. There are no disability facilities, the stairs are narrow, there is one lift that is very small. I seriously would advise that you do not stay at this hotel

Me and my husband were guests of Solana hotel and Spa for the past week and i have to say that our experience was incredible. Regarding accommodation we had a decent room which was always properly cleaned, the only problem that we faced was the thin walls from which we could hear everything going from other rooms. Regarding the food and beverage department, we had various of restaurants to choose such as the Tosca, Prickly Pear, Belini and Top Deck, where we always had a nice dining experience served by polite and kind staff, however a person who left us an impeccable impression was Sara. She always greeted us with a smile, made us amazing cocktails which shows that she is quite good at her job, we enjoyed talking to her. Overall we are satisfied with our stay in the hotel, and would definitely recommend it to others!!!

I traveled to Malta alone and chose the Primera Hotel as one of the cheapest options in Malta. In principle, the travel guide says that Valletta is the best place to stay, but I would not agree with this, as it is an hour from St. Paul's Bay to Valletta, an hour to the ferry to Gozo and half an hour to Rabat/Mdina. Excursions such as to the Blue Grotto only go via Valletta and it takes 2 hours by bus. However, you can combine this with a travel route via Valletta or as the last spot before the airport. The hotel was clean, the rooms were more than adequately equipped and for €8 you could book breakfast on site, which was a bit English but had something for everyone. The only thing that could be difficult is being able to eat more than just fruit and bread as a vegan.
