This residence is amazing and so beautiful. I had the upstairs bedroom/ suite Amy Belle. The french doors opened to a balcony with the most impressive views of the beach and surrounds. Matt the host was simply lovely and gave great advice on where to go and where to dine. A++ Bed was very comfortable, room spotlessly clean and so homey. The location is so central to walk to Godfrey beach, The Stanley Nut and different shops. Highly recommend. Perfect for couples and families.

The only drawback is that you have to carry your luggage upstairs. Very close to the place where you can see penguins. Parking is easy. Because we stayed during Christmas, the restaurant was not open. You can see the beautiful sunset by driving up the mountain from the hotel.

My wife and I stayed in the Admiral's Suite which takes up the whole top floor. We did not lack for room! Outside each window, and from our personal balcony, there were views of the ocean just the other side of the road. The decor was eye catching and the facilities were modern. We also indulged in the cooked breakfast which was also a treat. It was one of the best B&B experiences we have enjoyed over a few decades of travel. There is no question in our mind where we will be staying when we are in Stanley in the future.

The location of the hotel is absolutely good. Each villa has its own name. The car is parked directly at the door. It is very convenient. The large floor-to-ceiling windows in the living room are facing the nut stone. You can enjoy it on the sofa or balcony. The kitchen equipment is all available. You can make your own dinner. There is a big bathtub in the room. It is very pleasant to go to bed and rest after soaking. The only downside is that the hotel's so-called breakfast is actually breakfast-included materials, all in the refrigerator, egg bacon, etc., but it is a bit unexpected to make it yourself.

We had an amazing stay here. Cottage was very comfortable and warmed well for the cooler evening. We had our own jetty and Private outside area with picturesque views. Great for privacy. Quiet and calming. Was also fun to feed fish in pond with food provided. Large fish which jumped up. Also nice walks through gardens down to sea edge. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. Definitely recommend for couples wanting time out.

We very much enjoyed our overnight stay here in a double room with ensuite. The room was comparatively very spacious, clean and well kept. The heater worked well. The bathroom was on the older side and could have done with some renovation but worked fine and was very clean. We were also impressed by the basic cooking facilities for which included a microwave and fridge in addition to the usual kettle, bowls, cups and cutlery. Reception staff were friendly and welcoming.

Our 2 bedroom villa was fabulous, with a beautiful view of the duck pond, large comfortable bedrooms, and living space, and a washing machine and dryer in our room which is perfect if you're travelling around Tassie for a couple of weeks and need to clean your clothes. The staff were warm, welcoming, and very accommodating, with Alison at reception from the moment we checked in, Meg from marketing who personally packed and delivered bags of duck feed to our door for our mum to feed the ducks from our villa deck, Emma who delivered our breakfast, and Peter in maintenance who was quick to respond and reset a blown fuse. We couldn't have asked for a better service. They were incredible. On behalf of our mums and my husband and I, we thank you for our amazing stay and would highly recommend Tall Timbers to anyone staying on the northwest coast of Tasmania.

GGuest UserThe apartment buildings are great, they were generally clean and tidy, but a little more dusting on the window ledges would help first impressions. We had an excellent view across the water, from the sea facing windows. We had No. 8 , which was an upstairs ( again ) suite. The bed was comfortable, the A/C heater worked well as did the TV. However, this is listed as a self catering unit, but the necessities for self catering were strangely missing. We had 2 knives, 2 forks, 1 cheese knife, 2 small bread plates, ( no breakfast bowls ).a corkscrew, a bottle stopper and 2 coffee mugs. No spoons. That's it. No microwave, no toaster, no oven or cooktop. The fridge was in the left side of the wardrobe. I think to call this a self catering unit is really stretching the term ”self catering ” to its absolute limit. We ended up buying cheap cutlery at the IGA along with some plastic plates. The bathroom was spotless and large, but it needed to be because it had a large spa bath with overhead shower. I would rather have had cooking facilities other than a spa. There are laundry facilities available on the premises. We ate dinner every night at The Stanley Hotel, which rather defeated the object of self catering.

GGuest UserThe location is excellent! Very easy to find, easy to park, close to the sea, and you can see the little penguins returning to their nests when you leave the camp at night. Although there are not many penguins, unlike the groups of penguins on Phillip Island, we saw more than 10 penguins in total, and they were very close. The room facilities are relatively complete, but the bathroom is small and there is no place to put toiletries. There is a supermarket next to the camp, which is also convenient for shopping, but the supermarket closes at 16:00 and opens at 8:00 in the morning.
