Victorxu200833The 8-person male dorm bed was incredibly comfortable, and I chose a bottom bunk on the fifth floor. The elevator was convenient, and the location was great. I'd definitely recommend this guesthouse to more friends. The owner, an older gentleman, was cheerful and talkative, very easy to get along with. I'd actually watched his videos before, so when I came to HK, I knew I had to visit. It's excellent value for money. Although I'd never stayed in a dorm room before, it was a really good experience. The people staying there were also very considerate, and everyone was accommodating to each other. There were four restrooms, which was more than enough – no waiting in line, haha! I'll definitely visit again next time I'm in HK. That's about it, OK.

Anonymous UserThe 6 female room is equipped with two showers where one comes with the toilet. The room is quite clean and you're free to choose one of the bed to sleep as they are not assigned. Toiletries and shampoo and provided which makes it convenient.
Something to pay attention to is contacting the owner through WeChat which I would recommend contacting them before you arrive at the door. Else you'll have to stand outside for a while if they're not responding.
A very good stay if you're travelling solo and just need a place for sleeping, showering and keep your travel goods.

The stay at Venetian Hostel was a good one. Surprising at first if you are from the west due to it's location, but equally super interesting and an authentic experience of Hong Kong. The rooms were small, but no one is expecting luxury at such a price, clean, the AC worked well (which is a must in such a hot place) and the reception was very helpful. The roof of the building also makes for a pretty cool hang out spot if you can manage the heat.

I stayed at this hotel and can say that overall it offers adequate value for money.
Pros:
The price matches the level of comfort provided.
Guests behave appropriately and respectfully — no issues with noise or aggression.
The male staff member is very attentive and caring. He is always ready to help, answers questions, and tries to make your stay comfortable.
Cons:
Soundproofing between rooms leaves much to be desired — you can hear conversations and sounds from neighboring rooms.
The female staff member is rude and impolite. She may wake you up early in the morning without warning to clarify some questions, completely disregarding the fact that you are sleeping.
Conclusion:
The hotel is suitable for those looking for a budget option and not demanding about sound insulation. The atmosphere is calm thanks to respectful guests. However, the service is inconsistent — it all depends on which staff member you encounter.

Guest UserIt's okay, but it's a bit awkward when you come home late at night and the guard is sleeping by the roadside. There's no 24-hour front desk, but there is a guard sleeping by the side. If you're not too picky, it's fine. The room is small, just enough. The location is great, right outside the MTR station and bus station in the TST area. Free water and they even provide an adapter and a dipper.

LockalockOn the ground floor, there were quite a few foreigners, seemingly all exchanging currency. The hotel is located in Block B, so you need to walk further inside and take the elevator. It's quite close to Tsim Sha Tsui MTR station Exit N5. Right outside the building, there's an international mall, which is convenient for shopping. However, the fan inside was quite noisy, and the air conditioning wasn't really on. The overall hygiene of the building seemed just okay. The front desk staff were very nice and showed me how to use the key card access. A thoughtful touch was that they provided an adapter, as mainland Chinese and Hong Kong sockets are different.

When you first arrive at this hostel, it can be a bit confusing to find your way around. Pay attention to other people's reviews with attached photos. You'll also be sent instructions on the website itself, so study them carefully. The bed itself is good, and I shared a room with a couple of Chinese girls. Sound does travel into the capsule, but it's muffled. There's a mirror. However, the 220V power outlet is on the outside, so bring a longer cable and don't forget an adapter. There's a USB port inside.

Guest UserOverall, it was a stay that met my expectations. The hotel's location is excellent, with convenient transportation and affordable prices, and the room facilities are also quite good. They don't provide toiletries or drinking water, so you need to bring your own. Although the room size is small, like most Hong Kong hotels, it features a relatively reasonable and practical space distribution thanks to clever design, which is quite rare. If I had to pick a flaw, there's basically only one: the soundproofing of the room is really poor, especially since the window faces the street directly and is located at a traffic light. The engine noise from large vehicles starting and stopping is quite noticeable, especially at night. For light sleepers, it would be very difficult to fall asleep. It's a bit disappointing for a hotel that otherwise does quite well in other aspects. If they could just improve the window soundproofing, the overall living experience would be greatly enhanced.

KevinPros:
• Super cheap
• Great location
Cons:
• Thin pad on hard wooden board → feels like sleeping on plywood, very uncomfortable
• Tiny bugs found on the bedsheet
• Persistent foot odor inside unit
• Noise easily travels: heard people chatting at night despite “no talking” rule
• Common area gets extremely loud during meals (loud Tagalog conversations)
• Wi-Fi occasionally cuts out completely
Sleep quality was terrible due to the hard surface and bugs. Everything else is bearable if you’re just crashing for a short time and have very low expectations.
