We arrived a bit late and hadn't eaten, so the owners quickly cooked some dishes for us: stir-fried pork with chili peppers and shredded potatoes—very home-style cooking, but incredibly delicious. We booked a room on the first floor, all made of solid wood with underfloor heating. The bedding was brand-name and very comfortable, and the bathroom had a smart toilet. The most unforgettable experience was the breakfast the next day, along with the beautiful little garden. I must say, it was the best yak butter tea I've ever had, along with roasted glutinous rice cakes with a hint of wheat flavor, and steamed buns made by the owner himself, all made with grains he grew himself. The eggs were also much more fragrant than those in the city. You can tell the owner puts their heart into the business; the flowers and plants in the courtyard were blooming beautifully even in winter. We originally planned to book Songtsam, but it was fully booked, so we stayed here. After visiting the suites upstairs, we felt this place offered excellent value for money. If I have the chance to come to Weixi again, I will definitely choose Yue Ting. Here are some pictures of the upstairs guest rooms; the window views are amazing, and you can even see the Bodhidharma Cave in the distance. This is Qibie Village in Weixi Township, a small village entirely inhabited by the Naxi people, worth slowing down and staying for a few days.
